General Announcements

Please pass the donation boxes from left to right, and please donate generously. Sadaqah wards off calamities and draws the mercy of Allah Ta'ala.

There is no curb parking, so please do not park on the curbs behind the seminary building or the Swift Highway. We have additional parking spaces in the used car lot. Please do not park in the condos parking lot — the condos that are right behind the seminary.

Annual Banquet Dinner — December 9th

As many of us know, our annual banquet is coming up tomorrow on December 9th. We are seeking businesses to sponsor our upcoming banquet. Please see the brothers outside on your way out if you are interested.

We are delighted and privileged to welcome you to our annual benefit dinner. Alhamdulillah, the event is fully booked. If you have purchased a ticket, we ask that you arrive at Shalomar by 5:00 PM.

This year we have two separate raffles — one for brothers and one for sisters — each offering a chance to win a $2,500 Umrah voucher to individuals who arrive before Salatul 'Isha, which is at 5:45. So please, insha'Allah, try to come early. If you are there before 5:45, your name will be entered into the raffle for a chance to win a voucher for Umrah worth $2,500. There are two separate raffles — one for men and one for women.

Annual Winter Intensive — December 23rd–25th

Please save the date for our annual winter intensive, which will take place from December 23rd to December 25th — coming up in about two weeks, insha'Allah. Please make it a point to attend. There are many very contemporary topics and many pressing issues that we might have been curious about for a long time — things people have discussed, questions people might have asked us, or questions we might have been asking ourselves. Many of these things will be discussed. The event is taking place right here. Please, insha'Allah, make it a point to attend.

Weekly Programs

Please join us for our weekly programs:

• Team Fajr — Every Saturday. It will continue tomorrow. Fajr Iqamah is at 6:15, insha'Allah.
• Weekly Tafsir of Surat al-Qasas — Continues on Tuesdays after 'Isha. 'Isha is at 7:30.
• Weekly Salawat and Khatira — Every Thursday after 'Isha Salah.

Dar es Salaam Community Center (Gym) Programs

• Tuesday nights: Women's basketball — 7:00 to 9:00 PM
• Sunday nights: Women's badminton — 7:45 to 9:45 PM (after 'Isha)
• Sunday: Women's volleyball — 6:00 to 7:45 PM
• Wednesday: Men's volleyball — 7:45 to 9:45 PM (after 'Isha)
• Thursday: Men's basketball — 7:45 to 9:45 PM (after 'Isha)

Du'a Requests

Du'a of shifa is requested for the mother of Mufti al-Hajruddin (Mufti al-Azimuddin). She is hospitalized. May Allah Ta'ala grant her shifa and make the procedures easy for her.

Brother Hanif Ghaniwala has stage 4 cancer. Please make du'a for him. May Allah Ta'ala grant him shifa and make this trial easy for him.

Azhar Pai from Shalimar also has cancer. May Allah Ta'ala grant him shifa and make this trial easy for him and his family.

May Allah Ta'ala grant shifa to all those who are sick, give us the ability to bear our tests, and raise our ranks through them. Please make du'a for these individuals and anyone else in the community or outside who might be sick.

In the name of Allah, the Gracious, the Merciful. All praise is due to Allah, Lord of all the worlds — the Gracious, the Merciful, Master of the Day of Judgment. It is You we worship and You we ask for help. Guide us to the straight path — the path of those on whom You have bestowed Your Grace, those who have not incurred Your wrath, and those who have not gone astray.
