Night 25 - Recitation and Community Appreciation

The imam continued reciting from Surah Al-Ahqaf, completing the recitation with beautiful tajweed. The verses spoke of Allah's creation, the reality of this world, and the futility of worshipping false deities.

Community Appreciation

This video is about expressing gratitude to those who have worked tirelessly behind the scenes to make this mosque's Ramadan operations successful. When you look around this mosque during Ramadan - the prayers, the Qiyam, the Quran recitation, the programs, the security, the crowd control, all the social events, the suhoor meals - all of this doesn't happen by accident. I know you all know this happens because there are people who chose to give their time for the sake of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala, and tonight we want to appreciate all of us as a community and those who worked behind the scenes during this blessed month of Ramadan.

After we thank Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala for His blessings, while we sit here comfortably, there are people struggling around the world. Insha'Allah we will do what we can to support them. At the same time, we must thank Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala for all His blessings. So Alhamdulillahi rabbil alameen.

Our Scholars and Leadership

I want to start by acknowledging our teachers and scholars. This is the backbone of our mosque. Without this backbone, this mosque wouldn't be what it is today.

Starting with Shaykh Yasir - although he's not here with us this Ramadan as he's traveling around the Midwest visiting all the mosques, representing our mosque, and he loves it very much. Some scholars can't live without us - they can't eat, they can't sleep without talking to or thinking about Epic. I think that's a very good thing, and I believe it's something very blessed.

Shaykh Yasir isn't here but he was instrumental in the planning and establishment of Epic, and he has made himself available for many important events here. He shares our Ramadan journey and he will be here for some of the final nights and the next night. May Allah protect him and help him and allow him to do what he does on an even greater scale.

Next, we have Imam Nadim. Imam Nadim has been leading all the prayers and Quran recitation. Would you like to see him? Shaykh Sajjad - say, ma sha'Allah - 15 years, is that right? 16 years, ma sha'Allah. I've been hearing for 16 years, Shaykh Sajjad's voice, ma sha'Allah. From the day I came here, I've been touched by this beautiful message of his recitation. It doesn't matter how much you hear it - you want to listen more, you want to listen more. 16 years later, up until now, it still sounds fresh. May Allah protect him and give him barakah in both worlds.

Youth Leadership

We have our Youth Director, Abdur Rahman Idris. If he's here - Abdur Rahman Idris is the Youth Director. Ma sha'Allah, he works with the youth and organizes amazing programs for our youth. He organized amazing competitions for our youth. 500 youth were here, brothers and sisters - think about that! We had 500 youth from Epic, all the different schools from around our area - we had WhyIslam, Lighthill - all of them came together and spent the night here at Epic. It was a sight to behold. It was a sight to behold - little friends coming here and doing Qiyam and enjoying all the activities and doing good and beneficial things. May Allah protect Abdur Rahman because he's not here today. Amazing work on that.

Operations and Support Staff

Next we have our social media operations team who work around the clock and put in extra preparations during Ramadan to make sure we stay connected. May Allah protect them. Thank you for helping us, Abdur Rahman.

I want to go now to our maintenance supervisor, Uzer Bukhari. Can we see him? Here he is - you can see him on the screen. Abu Qasim, you can just put your hand up. I think you're the only one who can go to the back area without any problems. He's the only one who can do that without confirmation. Thank you, Uzer Bukhari.

He's been helping Epic for two years since I've known him. He's always available at Epic 24 hours and he's always here. May Allah protect you, Uzer Bukhari. Thank you for your help.

Close to Uzer Bukhari, we have our new Operations Director, Ali Jahangir. There he is trying to manage Epic quickly, and he says it's difficult but he's doing an amazing job keeping all the moving parts together to make sure operations run smoothly. Thank you for your work and everything you've done.

Maintenance and Security Teams

This is the list you don't see very much - they maintain Epic's operations. We have Epic's maintenance team there. We have Epic's maintenance team - Gul, Noor, Habizi, Ali. These are the brothers who stand there. These are the brothers who work around the clock, and when I say they don't get the appreciation they deserve - may Allah protect them, they do amazing work. Thank you for what you do.

We have the brothers - I think the brothers are there too, all of them. Brother Dora is in charge and there are other brothers too who handle the cleaning in the mosque and help with organizational assistance.

Children's Programs

I want to thank sister Shazia Khan. She has given us Epic's children's program. We provide Epic's children's program for free. We get more than 185 children and sometimes 200. That's a huge number and she's responsible for leading this. Shazia Khan is part of the Epic Children's Montessori and childcare program, and this is the organization that helps us with childcare at Epic. They have special arrangements for Epic. If you have children, if you want that service and if you haven't gotten registered, let me know and we'll work on it. Thank you very much, Shazia Khan, and the Epic Children's Montessori and childcare team.

Sisters' Committee

And the Epic Sisters' Committee - every Epic program, this is the organization. Can you imagine who they are? Ma sha'Allah, the Epic Sisters' organization. Every Epic program, this is the organization. You name it - sharing Ramadan, suhoors, community barbecue, you name it specifically. The sisters come in large numbers to participate. By the permission of Allah, without their schools of thought, none of the famous events would be as grand as we have had so far. Emergency Response Team

Finally, I'm going to highlight something beautiful. I'm going to mention these teams first. I want to say about the EFRT team. Can someone tell me what EFRT means? What is it? Epic First Response Team, correct?

Epic is important. I asked them to explain that. This is a team we have - let me show the sisters above while they appear in the location. I'll call on all my friends from the EFRT team - please come forward here.

This is the EFRT team who sit every day outside hoping that no one comes to them, but sometimes they do come because of emergencies. Children fall down, some people get hurt, and they respond. This is the list that goes beyond, and there's a doctor behind them, ma sha'Allah. This list is highly organized.

What does EFRT mean? EFRT means Emergency First Response Team. We are here in the Epic community to make sure we keep you safe, and if any kind of emergency happens, we are here to make sure you are safe and that the community here is safe. We have the latest emergency equipment on the emergency list. If we have emergencies above, let's bring the little emergency list. Let's bring the little emergency list.

Hyder, come here, don't be afraid. This is the emergency list. Do you know the funny part about the little emergency list? This young man here, and this young man here - he's tougher during passing time. I was trying to say, can I go pray in that area over there? There's an open space there. He said no, it's full - you have to go back. I said I saw a place there. He said no, no, just go. I just followed the instructions and then left.

This is the little emergency list. One of the funny things about the little emergency list - this is funny - they take it to a serious level. We put the little emergency list there to control people. They say you must clear the main area first, then those areas, then go to the other area. You'll see people suddenly thinking this is just a show, so they go under it, they go around it, then you ask them: why do you think we put it there? They say, I thought it was just something. Parking and Traffic Teams

Community Appreciation and Announcements

كما تعلمون، لقد دفعنا جميع الأطفال إلى السيارة لكل هذه السنوات. في هذه السنة، يساعد أخي الذي عمره 19 سنة وليس قادراً على القيادة بعد، وقائده أيضاً، كلاهما من أفضل الشباب هنا.

هذا شيخ ثلاثة على واحد يستطيع تسجيل أي شيء، صحيح يا شيخ؟ لذلك نحفظه في المدارس، نستمع إلى التعليمات في القرآن، نستطيع الاتصال بأي شيخ نريد هناك في المدارس.

إنهم يقفون في الخدمات، كل يوم يأتون لعمل التجهيزات، كل ليلة يذهبون للخارج ويأخذون جميع الزجاجات التي ترونها، كل يوم يفعلون ذلك. كانت خدمات في اليوم السابق وقامت عائلة عمار في الخارج يساعدون، جميع هؤلاء الرجال - يوسف وعثمان وغيرهم يساعدون مع عائلاتهم.

ابنة كاشف سيد كانت مدير الوزارة السابقة، وحسين الذي يحمل زجاجاته، ومن ثم عمار حسين قال أنه يحافظ على زجاجته على المكتب هناك، وعندما يعود فهي مغلقة، لذلك قررنا أن لا نترك زجاجته في أي مكان باستثناء جسده، لذلك الآن يحافظ على زجاجته بأمان كل يوم.

يا أخي، إنه رائع أن أرى هؤلاء الأخوة الأصغر يأتون إلى المسجد في الساعة الثالثة كل ليلة بدون فشل، هم هناك كل ليلة، يذهبون إلى هناك يحافظون على الزجاجات والنظافة، لا يهم الطقس، جميعهم يقومون بهذا العمل.

انظر إلى هذا، هذا يظهر لا يهم كم يمكنهم القيام بالإسلام. عندما تنظر إلى هذا يمكننا أن نقول بشرف وفخر كبير، لا يهم ماذا يفعلون، المستقبل لديننا، المستقبل للمساجد إنه بأمان. تكبير! جزاكم الله خير!

Security Team

Youth Programs

وأخيراً، ليس آخراً مباشرة، المتطوعون. نحن نقوم بعمل هذا البرنامج منذ عدة سنوات، هذا هو البرنامج الذي يقوم بعمله في المجتمع الأمريكي، خاصة في المجتمع الأمريكي في أمريكا منذ عدة سنوات.

هذا هو المكان الذي يأخذ الأطفال في الفترة من المحافظة على الصلوات لكي يستطيعوا أن يأتوا ويستمتعوا بالتراويح ومقررات القرآن. يا الله سبحانه وتعالى، أعطِ هذا البرنامج عملهم المذهل، وإن شاء الله في المستقبل سوف نبدأ في توسيع ذلك. شكراً لكم يا شيخ، يجب عليك أن تقف هنا.

Dar Al-Quran School

أخيراً مجموعة دار القرآن، إنه نوع من المدرسة، دار القرآن مدرسة حفظ. هذا مجموعة من أمريكا، هذا مجموعة من أمريكا لن يكون ممكناً بدون رئاسة الشيخ سجاد وأستاذ باجور ومجموعة من المعلمين الذين وضعوا حياتهم لتعليم القرآن.

هؤلاء هم من أفضل الناس كما قال الله سبحانه وتعالى، هؤلاء الناس هم من الأفضل، وهؤلاء الناس هم من الأفضل أيضاً لأنهم يتعلمون القرآن وأيضاً يعلمونه.

نظراً إلى كل هذا، أنا متأكد أنه لا يجب علينا أن نقلق بشأن المستقبل. دعونا نستمر في فعل ما نحتاجه لنرشد هؤلاء الناس ونحن سنجعلهم جاهزين، وانتبهوا ولا تكونوا خائفين عما هو شخصيتك كمسلم، وانتبهوا ونقول أننا مسلمين أمريكيين. جزاكم الله خير.

Sermon: The Straight Path and Paradise

السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته

آمين يا رب العالمين

قبل أن أبدأ، أخي سمير شكراً لجميع أجزاء الجسد، لكنه نسي أن يشكر العقل، العقل خلف كل ذلك - هم أعضاء مجلس الإدارة. الله يباركهم جميعاً ويحميهم وعائلاتهم. خلف عملهم وعائلاتهم يضعون 30 أو 40 ساعة في المسجد. الله يباركهم ويحميهم ويزيدهم، ويحمي زوجاتهم اللاتي يصبرن مع جميع الرجال الذين كانوا خارج المنزل لذلك الوقت.

بسم الله والحمد لله والصلاة والسلام على رسول الله

سوف أختصرها اليوم لأنهم أخذوا جميع وقتي.

Paradise and Hellfire: A Lesson from Jibril

عندما خلق الله سبحانه وتعالى الجنة، قال لجبريل عليه السلام: "اذهب وانظر إلى الجنة." جبريل عليه السلام ذهب ونظر إلى الجنة وقال: "يا الله، من يرى هذا سيفعل أي شيء لكي يدخل."

ثم الله سبحانه وتعالى حاط الجنة بالمكاره والصعوبات، ثم قال لجبريل عليه السلام: "اذهب وانظر إلى الجنة الآن." جبريل عليه السلام ذهب ونظر إلى الجنة وقال: "يا الله، لا أدري إن كان أحد سيدخلها."

الله سبحانه وتعالى خلق جهنم، "اذهب يا جبريل وانظر إلى النار." وقال: "يا الله، لا أحد يريد الدخول إلى هذا، هذا مرعب." ثم الله سبحانه وتعالى حاطها بالشهوات، وقال: "يا جبريل، اذهب وانظر إلى النار." وقال: "يا الله، لا أعلم إن كان أحد سيهرب من الدخول إلى النار."

The Straight Path and Our Daily Struggles

يا الله، بينما أنا على هذا الصراط المستقيم سيكون هناك الكثير من التحديات، الكثير من الصعوبات. يا الله ارشدني من خلالها. يا الله أنا أمر بالكثير من المشاكل الصحية، يا الله لقد فقدت عملي، يا رب يا الله أطفالي، يا الله زوجتي، يا الله والدي، يا الله الكثير من الصعوبات في العمل، يا الله ارشدني واحفظني على الطريق الصحيح.

يا الله الشيطان هناك طوال الوقت يحاول أن يضللني، يضللني في عقيدتي، يضللني في وضوئي - 10 مرات أستمر في تكرار الوضوء. يا الله كل مرة أقول الله أكبر يأتي الوسواس وأستمر في التكرار وأفكر: هل قلت الله أكبر؟ هل تركت مكاناً بدون وضوء؟ وأستمر في ذلك.

يا الله ارشدني على الطريق الصحيح وما هي الطريقة التي تحتاج إلى أن أحافظ عن هذا الشيطان.

والله نحن جميعاً نحتاج اهدنا الصراط المستقيم حتى يوم نلقى الله عز وجل.

Understanding "Guide Us"

اهدنا هو فعل أمر، هو فعل... كيف يمكن أن نقوم بإعطاء الأمر لله؟ معاذ الله. أخبرنا المعلمون أنه عندما يأتي الفعل من الأسفل إلى الأعلى فهو شكل دعاء، عندما يأتي من الأعلى إلى الأسفل فهذا هو أمر: أقيموا الصلاة، أنفقوا - هذا هو أمر. ولكن عندما يأتي منا إلى الله فهو شكل دعاء، يا الله أرشدنا.

مثلما أقول اغفر لي - اغفر أيضاً هو فعل، إنه أمر، أنا لست آمر الله أن يغفر لي، أنا أطلب من الله سبحانه وتعالى أن يغفر لي.

اهدنا الصراط المستقيم - وأنت تلاحظ أن اهدنا هو جمع وليس اهدني.

يا الله، رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم أخبرنا أن نحب لأخيك ما تحبه لنفسك. لا أريد أن أكون مهدياً وحدي، أريد أخي بجانبي وإلى اليمين وأخي إلى الشمال وأخي أمامي وأخي خلفي. يا الله أريد أن نكون جميعاً مهديين.

The Path of Those You Have Favored

هنا سألنا الله ما هو نوع الصراط الذي نريده وأيضاً من هم الناس على الصراط. نريد الصراط الذي هو مستقيم ونريد أن نكون مع الناس:

أريد أن أكون على صراط الناس يا الله الذين أنعمت عليهم.

The Story of Thawban

سأنتهي بهذا: ثوبان رضي الله عنه وأرضاه جاء مرة إلى رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم حزيناً جداً ومتألماً، لونه كأنك تستطيع أن ترى الهم على وجهه.

فـرسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال له: "ما بك يا ثوبان؟"

قال: "يا رسول الله، أحبك جداً ولا أستطيع أن أعيش بدون رؤيتك كل يوم، لذلك عندما أعود إلى المنزل بعد أن أنتهي من حضورك أفتقدك جداً ولا أستطيع أن أنتظر أن أعود وأن أراك. ويقلقني الفكرة: عندما نحن جميعاً نذهب إلى الجنة، إذا ذهبت إلى الجنة ستكون في مستوى مختلف جداً يا رسول الله، وكيف أستطيع أن أعيش بدون رؤيتك؟ ستكون مع النبيين، مع جميع الأنبياء والرسل، وإذا دخلت الجنة سأكون في مستوى أسفل جداً."

سبحان الله، هل تعلم ماذا حدث؟ رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم لم يجب عليه، هل تعلم من أجاب عليه؟ الله أجاب عليه!

"يا ثوبان، لا تقلق، أنتم ومن يتبعون الله ورسوله ستكونون..." الله نفسه أعطى لنا التفسير من هم الناس الذين أنعمت عليهم: "ستكونون إذا اتبعتم الله ورسوله ستكونون مع النبيين." الله أكبر!

لذلك أصبح ثوبان سعيداً: "الآن أستطيع أن أكون مع محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم، والصديقين - الناس الذين صادقون على الحق، والشهداء، والصالحين." وما صحبة جميلة! الله أكبر، سبحان الله.

لذلك نريد أن نكون مع رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، نريد أن نكون مع أبو بكر رضي الله عنه، نريد أن نكون مع أبو حنيفة رحمه الله، نريد أن نكون مع الناس الصالحين.

والطريقة والفرصة الوحيدة لفعل ذلك هي أن تتبعوا الله ورسوله.

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. We seek His help and guidance. All praise is due to Allah, Lord of all the worlds.

Quranic Recitation from Tarawih Prayer

This blessed night's prayer featured beautiful recitation from multiple surahs, including portions of Surah Al-Fath (The Victory), Surah Al-Hujurat (The Chambers), and Surah Qaf. The verses recited speak to themes of divine victory, proper conduct among believers, and the reality of the Day of Judgment.

"Guide us to the straight path - the path of those You have blessed, not of those who have incurred Your wrath, nor of those who have gone astray."

From Surah Al-Fath (The Victory)

"Allah was certainly pleased with the believers when they pledged allegiance to you under the tree. He knew what was in their hearts, so He sent down tranquility upon them and rewarded them with an imminent victory."

"Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah. And those who are with him are firm against the disbelievers and merciful among themselves. You see them bowing and prostrating, seeking bounty from Allah and His pleasure. Their mark is on their faces from the trace of prostration."

From Surah Al-Hujurat (The Chambers)

"O you who believe! Do not put yourselves forward before Allah and His Messenger, but fear Allah. Verily, Allah is All-Hearing, All-Knowing."

"O you who believe! Raise not your voices above the voice of the Prophet, nor speak aloud to him in talk as you speak aloud to one another, lest your deeds should be rendered fruitless while you perceive not."

"The believers are but brothers, so make settlement between your brothers. And fear Allah that you may receive mercy."

"O mankind, indeed We have created you from male and female and made you peoples and tribes that you may know one another. Indeed, the most noble of you in the sight of Allah is the most righteous of you. Indeed, Allah is Knowing and Acquainted."

From Surah Qaf

"Qaf. By the honored Quran... But they wonder that there has come to them a warner from among themselves, and the disbelievers say, 'This is an amazing thing.'"

"And We have already created man and know what his soul whispers to him, and We are closer to him than his jugular vein."

"And the intoxication of death will bring the truth; that is what you were trying to avoid."

Special Night Prayer Du'as

The imam concluded with beautiful supplications, seeking Allah's guidance, forgiveness, and blessings:

"O Allah, guide us among those You have guided, grant us wellness among those You have granted wellness, take us as allies among those You have taken as allies, bless us in what You have given us, and protect us and turn away from us the evil of what You have decreed."

"O Allah, we ask You for faith that does not waver, bliss that does not end, and companionship with Muhammad in the highest gardens of Paradise."

"Glorified is your Lord, the Lord of Might, above what they describe. And peace upon the messengers. And praise to Allah, Lord of the worlds."

May Allah accept our prayers and worship during these blessed nights of Ramadan, and may He grant us the strength to continue seeking His guidance and mercy throughout our lives.
