Security In The Mosque

Alhamdulillahir Rabbil Alameen. Wa Salatu wa Salamu ala Sayyidil Mursaleen wa Khatimin Nabiyyeen wa ala Alihi Atayibina Tahireen wa Man Tabi'ahum Bi Ihsani Ila Yawmin Deen. Wa Ba'd.
Wa Qad Qala Allahu Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala Fi Muhkamin Tanzeelih. Ba'da An A'udhu Billahi Minash Shaitanir Rajeem.
Sadaqallahul Azeem.
Wa Qala Ta'ala:
My dear respected brothers and sisters, respected elders and young students: Assalamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuh.
Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala has sent all of us into this world for a test and a trial. And Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala has hidden himself in this world behind the means, and he has kept this material world in front of us and apparent to us—the one we live in this material world. Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala says, the creator of this world, that this is all a means of deception. Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala, as part of the test, our creator, he has placed the love of this dunya in our hearts.
Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala says:
And you love wealth and material things. You have a strong attachment to these things. Whereas the reality is, all of these things we have to leave behind, and we have to return to Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala. The only thing that we will take with us in the court of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala are our deeds.
That which will remain are your righteous deeds. They are better in the eyes of your Lord as a reward and amala—better to look forward to and have hope in. All these material possessions that we hold so dear and we are so attached to—we will leave behind.
Whatever you have accomplished, whatever you have amassed, whatever you have gathered together of this worldly life, Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala says: Yanfadu—it will all be left behind. Wa Ma Inda Allahi Baq—what Allah has kept in store in the hereafter, that is Baqin, that is eternal, that is what will remain.
And if you are living in a palace, or if you are in a refugee camp, no matter how difficult or how beautiful, or how enjoyable, or how much suffering you are going through in this world, both the enjoyment and the suffering of this world, they are both temporary. The laughs and the enjoyment and the merriment, and the cries and the sadness and the pain and suffering—both are temporary.
The one who is saved from the fire of Jahannam, the eternal fire of Jahannam, and is granted entrance into the gardens of Jannah, that is the one, Faqad Faas—who has truly been successful, who has attained ultimate success.
In this worldly life is but a deception. It is a deception in the sense that we are chasing after something which is temporary, which is fani, and we know in the back of our minds that this is temporary, yet it is so attractive that we cannot help ourselves, and we end up:
You give preference to the worldly life over the hereafter. Whereas the hereafter is far better and more eternal. It is eternal, far better:
And Rasulullah, through his noble example, he raised his group of Sahaba RadhiAllahu Anhum Ajma'een. And they left a model for us of how to lead a life—how to lead a life with the correct priorities. While believing in Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala, believing in the Quran, the word of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala, and investing in that which is the permanent abode, if sacrifices had to be made, they made sacrifices for their worldly comforts. But they never lost any opportunity to invest in their hereafter.
This is a mindset that was created through constant company of Rasulullah, remaining in the Majalis, in the gatherings of Iman, hearing the words of Allah and the Rasul repeatedly, over extended periods of time, undergoing sacrifices for the sake of Allah. And then finally, this reality entered into their hearts.
This is a great challenge—the greatest challenge that we all have. Because our entire society, our culture, our environment, our educational system, from childhood, and every day as we go to work, all the billboards, on the signs on the streets, the television ads, everything is inviting us towards this dunya and is teaching us to fulfill our desires, and that you only live once—fulfill your desires. Whereas this is all, in the eyes of Allah and Rasulullah, the reality they explain to us is a big fraud, and we are all becoming victims of that fraud.
How can we awaken? We have to connect ourselves to the houses of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala, the masajid. These are the places where the reality is spoken.
If we want to seek, if you want to buy, there is a wedding in the family and we need to buy jewelry, then we will go to the gold market and we will buy jewelry. If we need, our family is in a mood to eat fish, we will go to the fish market. There is a vegetable market, we need bread, we will go to the bakery. We need meat, we go to the butcher. So likewise, to gain the correct understanding of the deen and what is beyond that—correct understanding of deen, actual purpose of our existence and why are we here in this world, where we came from, where are we going, what is the objective of our existence—these fundamental questions, if you want to seek the answers for that, the only place that we will find this hidayah, this guidance from Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala, is if we attach ourselves to the masajid, the houses of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala.
The guidance from Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala, the hidayah and the rahmah from Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala, descends on the baytullah. Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala says that Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala sends the rahmah and barakah and hidayah on the baytullah, the Kaaba al-Musharafa. And from the Kaaba, baytullah, all the masajid that are facing the Kaaba, these are all houses of worship.
These houses of worship lillah—they belong to Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala. They are dedicated to the house of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala. They are dedicated for the worship of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala. They are dedicated for the worship of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala. They are all facing the baytullah.
If we are not involved in our masajid and if we are not participating in the activities of the masajid, then we will be cut off from this source of hidayah and guidance. On our own we cannot survive. We will become the next victim of the environment. That is why it is imperative for us to realize the important role the masajid plays in sustaining our iman, preserving our iman itself.
And that is why this is the first action of Rasulullah Sallallahu Alayhi Wa Sallam. The first amal of Rasulullah Sallallahu Alayhi Wa Sallam, when he made hijrah, in fact, before arriving at his final destination in Medina, when he paused in Quba, what did he do? Allah Ta'ala says that he founded the masjid of Quba. He was there for a few weeks. He built the masjid of Quba. Then, when he arrived in Medina Manawara, the first action of Rasulullah Sallallahu Alayhi Wa Sallam was that he built the masjid of Nabwi. Before he did anything else. And he erected the structure, along with his companions. He physically participated in building the walls and erecting the walls of this masjid with his noble person.
And in this house of Allah SWT, ibadah will take place. In this house of Allah SWT, da'awa will take place. Iman will be rejuvenated. We will be able to reset our compass. We will be able to remind ourselves. Reminder is beneficial for the believers. We will hear the words of Allah and the words of Rasulullah Sallallahu Alayhi Wa Sallam. And along with that will be ta'aleem. We will educate ourselves. This will be a place where our children will be educated. They will learn the deen of Allah. They will learn the Quran. They will learn etiquette, adab, akhlaq, manners. They will learn the seerah of Rasulullah Sallallahu Alayhi Wa Sallam.
So this has been the practice of Rasulullah Sallallahu Alayhi Wa Sallam himself. And wherever the Muslims went, throughout the lands that they spread out, the first thing they did was they built houses of worship. These are houses that Allah has given the permission that they should be erected for the remembrance of Allah SWT.
And alhamdulillah, we are sitting in one such house. One house that is dedicated for Allah SWT. Who are the beneficiaries? Who are those who are benefiting from this house? We are the beneficiaries ourselves. We are here today to perform our Jummah. We are consistently coming here to fulfill these obligations. We get rejuvenated. Our iman gets refreshed. We learn about the deen of Allah. And we are reminded about our purpose of our existence.
This is a sanctuary where we can all come and get refreshed and refocus on and realign our priorities so that we do not become lost in the material rat race of this world.
The Reality of Islamophobia and the Need for Security
And a sad reality that we cannot ignore is that we are living in such a time where there is so much Islamophobia, hatred of Muslims, and misunderstandings regarding Islam and Muslims, that is on the rise. And we are doing different efforts in order to overcome that. We remind ourselves repeatedly about our obligation, that within our environment, with our neighbors, we have to discuss with them, share within the beat of Islam, at work with our co-workers, at school with our colleagues, talk to them about our beautiful religion, become active in our deen ourselves, learn about it, and be able to invite others towards the reality of our deen.
And in the same regard, we have held our open house and will continue to do so, inshallah, multiple times throughout the year, to fulfill this mission, to tackle all of these misunderstandings at the root. But at the same time, we cannot ignore the reality that there are certain elements within the population who will not attend the open house, who are hearing the agents of Shaitan and Islamophobes spitting out their venom against Islam and Muslims, and who will continue to harbor hatred in their hearts.
Even Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam, who was the most eloquent speaker of all, we can never match his eloquence, who had the most knowledge of the deen compared to any one of us—how can we even compare ourselves with Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam with respect to knowledge of deen? He was the one upon whom the deen was revealed. He was the one upon whom the revelation was sent down. Despite his dawah, they remain hardcore, die-hard haters and rebels against Allah and Rasul Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam, who continue to persist in their evil behavior, in rejecting Allah and Rasul, and continuing to harbor hatred in their hearts.
If Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam could not conquer the hearts of all the enemies of Islam in Makkah Mukarramah, then we would be foolish to feel that we can change the tide. We should not become complacent and say we can't do anything. We have to try our best. But at the same time, we have to come to grips with this reality: that there will still be people who will continue to hate Islam and Muslims.
Abu Jahl did not convert to Islam despite Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam visiting him a hundred times. We have Aas Ibn Wail, Waleed Ibn Utbah, Shaybah, we have Waleed Ibn Mughirah, Nazar Ibn Harith, Uqbah Ibn Mu'id, Ubay Ibn Khalaf. These are all these enemies, the Mushrikeen of Makkah. Many of them lived in the time of Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam and died in Makkah. Others were killed in the battle of Badr, the names that I mentioned. But they did not accept Islam. They were deprived. They were mahrum of the beauty of the Deen of Islam.
So if Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam's efforts did not bring one hundred percent conversion, then we, at the same time, have to realize that there will be people who will continue to harbor this hatred.
What do we do regarding such people? Our Deen teaches us that we have to adopt all means to secure ourselves and protect ourselves. Allah Ta'ala says: prepare yourselves and defend yourselves from these enemies. We don't want enemies. We want to spread the truth of Islam, and we have the flag of peace in our hands. But those who do not want to take it and have enmity, then we have to protect ourselves. This is the instruction of Allah in the Quran, the Sunnah of Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam.
And with respect to these masajid, we have seen, and this has been coming in the news, and people are aware of the different masajid that have been, unfortunately, a very sad reality, but it is a reality, have been vandalized. Pig's heads have been placed in the masajid. Different masajid, arson has taken place.
This is our beautiful masjid. Alhamdulillah, that is the house of Allah that we all attend. In our local masjid, we are performing Jummah here. Alhamdulillah, Darus Salaam, there is Darus Salaam in Tampa. I visited multiple times. I did multiple programs there. The Imam, Junaid, there is my dear friend. His masjid was attacked by arson. In Texas as well, on the west coast, in Washington state as well, in Canada, just north of the border, the Musallis were performing the Isha Salah. A gunman entered, and several Musallis were granted Shahada and were gunned down while performing Salah, facing the Qibla. He came from the back and shot. Just like we are standing in Roziya, anyone comes in with a gun, they can shoot. We are standing facing the Qibla. This is the reality.
So what has happened is the people who have been appointed by Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala in the communities—Allah granted them the responsibility to protect the houses of Allah, build the houses of Allah, maintain the houses of Allah—they have become alert to these realities and are taking steps throughout the United States and Canada to protect and preserve the masjid. And these all come at a cost. Nothing is free.
Security Measures at Darul Salam
So what happened here at Darul Salam today at the Jummah—I would like to take this opportunity to bring all of you up to date with some of the measures we have been taking here as well.
We have the added function that is not only a masjid where people come at the time of Salah to pray, but at the same time, we have a full-time madrasa here. There are boys here, girls here, there are innocent children here studying, memorizing the Quran, young children, maqtab, his class, girls classes, boys classes, alim classes, and many of the parents, with all of these things coming in the news, have been concerned and have said that we have an open door policy here. Anyone can come at any time. And their concerns are valid. And we took those to heart.
So I will ask the brother to put it on the screen, inshallah, some of the projects that we have initiated here recently and bring it to your attention. Alhamdulillah, what is going on: this house of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala is dedicated for the worship of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala. We are all Muslims, believers in the kareemah:
This is our house. We have to have more concern for this house of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala than we would have for our own safety. Our own homes, our personal homes, this is the house of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala. The safety of this house of Allah should be our first concern.
Those who will be concerned about the safety of the house of Allah, Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala will keep them safe.
The Fence
The fence fabrication installation: why do we even have to have a fence?
When you go down this Swift Road, then you come to St. Charles Road. If you make a right on St. Charles, there is a big church there, Parkway Community Church. I have personally had a meeting with the pastor in one of our interfaith meetings. And he himself, the pastor, a Christian pastor, pastor of Parkway Community Church on St. Charles Road, right by the Ackerman Center, those who are local can recognize the church I am speaking about. Can you believe this Christian pastor he was crying, and the tears were coming out of his eyes? And then I told him, "Calm down, calm down. Why are you crying?" He said, "I am crying because I pass by your masjid every day to drop my daughter to school, and I see your fence coming up. And you don't have to tell me why your fence is coming up. I know why you are building a fence."
This Christian pastor understood. We didn't understand. So it is very sad. If he can understand, we can understand. Then this is very sad. He understood. He said, "You are building this fence because of all of the Islamophobia and the hatred that is going on, and the different attacks that are taking place against the masjid. That's why you are building this fence. And I feel so sad." He was crying, and I consoled him. I said, "It's okay, it's fine. We are dealing with it. We understand there are good people like you as well." But he said the fact: "I have a church. He said I don't need to build a fence. I am not concerned for the safety of my church. Why are you, my dear brother Imam, in such a position? You have to be worried about the safety of your masjid?"
We go and we travel. This is not only here. If you think you people of Darul Salam are paranoid in doing this, no, it's not us. Throughout the whole country, these measures are being taken. We have masjid, like for example, Briju Masjid. They have 24 hours, around the clock, guards patrolling the parking lot. Why? Because they don't have a fence.
I was traveling to St. Louis. I stopped on Route 55 to pray at the small Masjid al-Islam in Bolingbroke on Frontage Road, not the big church that they bought. When I came to the parking lot, when I came to the door, a guard opened the door right away. I said, "How did you know I was coming right now, and you opened it?" He said, "The doors are all locked, and I'm sitting here watching the camera, and I'm assigned, and it's my duty when a Muslim comes in, I open the door." So they have cameras. They have video surveillance. And then on top of that, they have a paid guard to open the door.
This is the reality of the times we are living in, my dear friends. It's not pretty, but this is the reality.
That is why, if somebody—you know, if you want to be always have an attitude of creating objections, you can say, "How is he going to stop if somebody comes with a tank? They can go over the fence." But we are responsible. Whatever you can do, up to your ability, you need to prepare.
So this is a deterrent. If there's a casual person walking by, who has, who's feeling that he wants to do some damage, this will serve as a deterrent. He has to climb over the fence.
So the fence was extended on Swift Road. There were bids. Believe it or not, for $80,000. This took hours and hours for this to come up. So many different companies come, give their proposals, walk through the scope of the work, get the bid, compare, second bid, third bid, fourth bid, fifth bid. Finally, get the lowest price. This person, there are people who are bringing prefabricated units, and we're going to install it. There were $80,000. This person made it himself. He has his own little—he's a welder with a little company, and he built the fence himself. So he had low overhead, and we got this price.
Electrical Work and Automatic Gates
Electrical work is because high voltage, 220 volts, were from the masjid property. A trench had to be dug, and the electrical wires had to be installed all the way to both gates—North Avenue gate and Swift Road gate—for the electrical gates. And then we have motors for the gate openers: $13,000. So there are automatic gates that close at night and open before Fajr and close after Isha to secure the property, to secure the house of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala.
Rasulullah Sallallahu Alayhi Wa Sallam mentioned so many virtues of those who guard the houses of Allah, those who guard the property, the Muslims, the eyes that stay awake guarding the property. They will be rewarded by Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala. Allah will grant them Jannah. These gates are protecting the house of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala.
Alarm System and Video Surveillance
And then we have the alarm system and video doorbell.
We had one of our events where we invited the county officials and the mayors and the police chiefs, fire chiefs. We had a presentation about Islam here in the masjid. Then we took them downstairs, and we had a lunch with them. I was sitting right next to the fire chief. And when I was talking to the fire chief, he said, "You did the architectural tour, and you were explaining the elements of the masjid, the mosque, etc. You were doing your bayan." He's telling me, and I was doing an inspection of your fire system, fire protection system. The fire chief is telling me: "I was like, 'Woah.'" So what did you find? What are you finding, sir? He said, "You have the state of the art fire protection system, better than any of the other, even churches or other public facilities in DuPage County." I was saying, "Alhamdulillah, thank God." But then he said, "You have one huge flaw, and I do not see a burglar alarm system."
So I said, "Yeah, we don't have a burglar alarm system because the nature of the masjid is people come five times a day. We don't come once a week on Sunday. We come five times a day. How are we going to have a burglar alarm system? It's always going to be running."
He said, "No, you definitely need a burglar alarm system because—" and then he walked through, and he gave me such a horrific scene. He said, "I'll tell you what the vandals will do. They will break all the glasses and come in. Then they'll come. You know what they'll do after that?" I said, "I don't know." Then he said, "They see the water. They'll turn off the water. You'll flood your whole basement. You're sitting in the basement. Then they will rip this. They will destroy this." And he gave me the most horrific scene possible. This is what the vandals do. And you don't have any protection.
As far as asbab are concerned, Allah is the protector, but we are commanded to adopt means.
So we took that advice, and we have installed an alarm system. All of these windows, you don't see anything on the windows, but there's a lot of glass windows with natural light. We benefit from it. We enjoy. But there are sensors in the walls that if the glass is broken, there's a particular frequency that is created, which will trigger the alarm. And then the alarm will ring, and it will contact the emergency providers, and the service will come. So the glasses are protected. Motion sensors are there. The video surveillance is there. We have a full burg alarm system that is activated after Isha. And if anyone—if there's any intrusion, we will be alerted. And then the permits were $2,000.
Total Cost and Community Responsibility
So this total cost is $94,000. We have very few minutes left, just in presenting what happened. It took me so much time. I'm asking all the brothers and sisters whose responsibility is this to take care of these expenses? If not us, if the Christians are understanding, if the non-Muslims are understanding the need, when the mosque was burnt in Texas, then the non-Muslims came, and they took care of the major portion of rebuilding the house of Allah. How shameful it is for us if we do not take care of these expenses as well.
So these are actual numbers that were spent in these projects and which were a need. I don't think it could be debated about how important and necessary they are.
You come only in the Salah times. You find the door open. But outside the Salah times, the doors are locked. Then you press the buzzer. There's a video camera. It will take your picture. It will be presented. Then you can be buzzed in. The doors automatically lock, automatically open for the Salah times. So all of these things, they cost money.
So inshallah, I ask the brothers humbly, and the sisters, and those who are listening online, that if you can take a few minutes right now, before the Khutbah, and on this Mubarak day of Friday, help our Masjid, our house of Allah, the place where we come for Ibadah, where our children are studying, where our future Ulema are being prepared, for the safety and security of this house of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala, let us spend in the path of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala.
The one who will spend for protecting the house of Allah, will Allah not protect his house? The one who is concerned about the safety of the students of knowledge, will Allah not protect his children?
And if you spend in the house of Allah, Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala will save us. And it will be a means of Sadaqah to remove difficulties from us. Allah will put more Barakah in our earnings. So inshallah, can we see, inshallah, who is ready to spend for these causes?
We have $94,000. Is anyone, inshallah, ready to give $5,000? Inshallah, $5,000 will put a big dent in that. Inshallah, anyone, inshallah? Just one. I'm not starting with a big number. $10,000, $25,000, just $5,000, inshallah? If you can give for the house of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala, we have five brothers for $5,000. Five brothers for $1,000. Make it $1,000. Just make it $1,000, inshallah. Anyone is ready to give $1,000? Raise your hand, inshallah. Mashallah, we have brother. Mashallah, in the back, and we have volunteers ready, inshallah.
We will start the khutbah in two to three minutes, not longer than that. We have anyone, inshallah, for $1,000? Mashallah, $1,000 inshallah for the sake of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala for these causes. We have a third one, inshallah. Another $1,000? Mashallah, may Allah reward the brother. Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala says those who give first, inshallah, they'll be close to Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala on the Day of Judgment. May Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala protect your family. May Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala protect your children, your business. May Allah protect all the Muslim institutions, inshallah.
Anyone else, inshallah? Just $1,000 for the safety of the house of Allah. So the thing is, Mashallah, another brother right here in the front. May Allah reward him. And the brother in the brown kurta, Mashallah. Please. Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala says: Shaitan is promising you if you spend in the path of Allah, you'll become poor, and he wants you to hold back and not spend. And then that money, he'll make sure you spend it in frivolous causes, in immoral acts. Allah is promising forgiveness and bounty.
And the thing is, we are sitting here. The fact that we are praying here means we are ourselves a beneficiary of this house of Allah. We are worshipping Allah Ta'ala here. Sadqa starts locally. The nature of sadqa is the same people. It should be circulated. It starts from home. There are many causes throughout the world. But where we are living, where we are praying, where we are benefiting, where we are attending, we have to take care of that first, and thereafter, other places as well. This is a legitimate cause for us to spend. We will definitely be rewarded by Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala.
Yes, inshallah. Anyone else, inshallah? If you don't have a check with you, you aren't expecting it, then you can swipe your cards as well. Is there anyone for five hundred dollars, inshallah? Just five hundred dollars for these great expenses, for protecting the house of Allah, only five hundred dollars, inshallah?
What happens is that this thought comes: "He'll go on and on for two to three minutes. Then he'll give up. And then he'll do the Jummah, and he'll carry on, and I'll be saved." It's not. We are saved. We are deprived if you don't get a chance to raise your hand and give for the sake of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala. That means we are deprived. We are mahrum. Simple as that. We have an opportunity to spend for the safety of the house of Allah, the one we ourselves are worshipping in, and we let it go by.
Non-Muslims are rising to the occasion. Non-Muslims are going to the airports with signs saying "We are all Muslims." What about us? We were born as Muslims. And if you cannot be concerned about the safety of the house of Allah, this is an opportunity for us to show Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala that "I love you, O Allah, and I love the house that is erected for your worship. And the safety of your house, in these times of Islamophobia, is important to me, and I have that pinch in my heart."
Do we have that pinch in our heart or not? Do we feel that importance of the safety of the Muslims, of the children, of the Musallis, of the worshippers, of the students of knowledge or not?
This is the test. If we do feel that, and we feel safety is important, then right now is the time to raise our hands, inshallah, for $500, inshallah. Do I see any hands? Mashallah. May Allah reward our brother. Jazakallah. Ali bhai, Mashallah, their two brothers right there. Five hundred dollars for the safety of the house of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala. And we should have, inshallah, great number.
Look at these are the actual numbers. If we have iman, Allah Ta'ala says:
Those who believe in Allah, they will spend and maintain the house of Allah. Ya'muru is a unique verb used by Allah here. It doesn't mean just to build. It means to maintain, to continue to support, and take care of all its needs. These are the needs that this house of Allah has. And this is the time for us to support it for the sake of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala.
Al jaza'u min jins al amal. One of the principles of our Sharia is that the reward will be proportionate to, or of like kind as, the action we do. If we are worried about the safety of the house of Allah, the reward will be, inshallah, we are concerned. We donate for the safety of the house of Allah. Allah will save us. Allah will save our businesses. Allah will protect our families, our children. There is only barakah, reward, khair, return, fadhal of Allah, multiply ten times to seven hundred times. Allah will give us in this world, back, will reward us in the hereafter as well. And if we hold back, we are holding back from our own hereafter.
We have more hands, inshallah, for five hundred dollars, inshallah? Okay, let's bring it down to just one hundred dollars. Just one hundred dollars, inshallah, inshallah. We should have many, many hands. One hundred dollars, inshallah. Right here in the front, please, or volunteers, Osaf, please be alert, inshallah. There are brothers raising their hands for one hundred dollars. And Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala says, whenever he speaks about spending, he makes it proportionate to how much he provided us: "From that which we have provided you, you spend."
So if we are not so endowed, we don't we are not raking in the millions, fine. Whatever money we have, do not feel that we are exempted from these ayaat, from the obligation of spending for the house of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala. It's proportionate to how much we have. If we can give one hundred dollars, and we are actually feeling a pinch in that one hundred dollars, the reward might be greater than the one who is giving one thousand dollars or five thousand dollars. Allah knows how much he gave us, and from that, we are giving for his sake.
So inshallah, I will—we will begin the, I will call the adhan, and we will have the khutbah after the sunnah, inshallah, now. But keep these numbers in mind. Spread the message to others. You can continue to donate towards these expenses. And inshallah, the reward will be generated for all those that you invite and other family members that you make them aware of these causes. And inshallah, together, we will be able to raise these funds.
May Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala reward all those brothers and sisters who donated, all those who are listening online. You can donate through quick pay or PayPal or on the website. There are many different ways you can send the money. But this is something that is investing in your own hereafter. And Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala will definitely give you the reward. May Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala accept all of your donations.
