Surat Al-Hadid — Ayat 13–14
On the Day when the hypocrites — men and women — will say to those who believed, "Wait for us! Let us take some of your light." It will be said, "Go back behind you and seek light." So a wall will be placed between them, which will have a gate — inside it is mercy, and outside it is punishment.
They will call out to them, "Were we not with you?" They will say, "Yes, but you put yourselves to trial, and you waited, and you doubted, and your vain desires deceived you until the command of Allah came. And the Deceiver deceived you concerning Allah."
