Allah says in the Quran:
And there is not a creature in the earth except that its provision is with Allah, and He knows its permanent dwelling place and its temporary place of deposit. Each is in a clear record.
And it is He who created the heavens and the earth in six Days, and His Throne was upon the water — to test you, which of you is best in deed. And if you say, O Prophet, that you will be resurrected after death, those who disbelieve will surely say, "This is nothing but manifest sorcery."
And if We delay from them the punishment until a limited time, they will surely say, "What is holding it back?" Unquestionably, the Day it comes to them, it will not be turned away from them, and they will be enveloped by that which they used to mock.
