Opening — Making Space & Welcoming Everyone

Everyone can move forward. There are brothers in the lobby, and all those brothers who've been working tirelessly throughout the entire day, and the sisters who've been working tirelessly in the canteen, in the volunteering, in the babysitting — we want to make space for them to come up. So kindly please make space for all those who are sitting in the lobby, and those who are in the courtyard as well. Encourage everyone outside of the main prayer hall to make your way in.

All the brothers in the lobby, make your way in, move forward. Come all the way up to the front. There's a lot of space here on my left, Hayya' al-Salah side.

There's a lot of space, come forward. Let all the brothers and sisters from outside also come into the main prayer hall, insha'Allah, so we can benefit from the powerful recitation of Qari Nathul Islam, insha'Allah. And we'll end with dhikr and du'a, insha'Allah.

Recitation of Surah An-Nasr

"When the victory of Allah and the conquest comes, and you see the people entering into the religion of Allah in crowds, then glorify the praise of your Lord and ask His forgiveness. Indeed, He is ever Accepting of repentance." Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.

Muhasaba — Reflection Before Du'a

Insha'Allah, before we begin our du'a, we should do a little bit of muhasaba of ourselves — reflection.

We thank Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala for the countless blessings He has given us, and we also compare the blessings of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala with our own mistakes and sins. So let us close our eyes for a moment and reflect on the blessings of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala that every one of us enjoys — of health, of wealth, of loving, caring family, of peace and security that we enjoy here, of abundance of provisions, of a car, of a home, a place to live, and of course, iman, and our Nabi ﷺ being our Prophet ﷺ. And then reflect on what have we done to thank Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala for that.

And let us take a moment now and reflect and think that this gathering is a gathering in which literally millions of salawat have been recited in advance, and all those who are present here have recited themselves hundreds of thousands of salawat. Many students, volunteers — each has done 20,000, 30,000, some of them up to 50,000 in one day. Imagine how many millions of angels must be present here. Imagine how pleased, insha'Allah, Allah and His Rasul ﷺ will be with this gathering.

The Meaning of Lā Ilāha Illallāh

I want us to focus on Allah's mercy coming down upon all of us in this entire gathering. We'll take Allah's name — لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ. When we focus on reciting لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ, imagine all the false gods and idols that are in our heart — the love for desire, the desire for fame, the desire for name, the lustful desires. Anything that we like that Allah does not like — with لَا إِلَهَ we are breaking every one of those false lustful desires from our heart, إِلَّا اللَّهُ. And with إِلَّا اللَّهُ we are bringing into our heart only Allah's love and the love of what Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala loves.

The Blessings of Salawat Upon the Prophet ﷺ

After that we send salutations upon the Prophet ﷺ. Every one of us should imagine our salutations are being sent and being presented to Habib Mustafa ﷺ with our names and with our fathers' names being presented to him. And Rasulullah ﷺ is responding back to us as well. And that for every salah we send upon him, Allah Azza wa Jalla is sending His salutations upon us. Our sins are being forgiven. Our status in paradise is being increased. And through the barakah of salawat, our sadness, depression, and anxiety is being removed. And countless other blessings are coming into our life through sending salutations upon him.

As we recite salawat, we should make this intention as well: that from tonight onwards, I will become not just a lover of Rasulullah ﷺ, but a genuine follower of his sunnah.

Istighfar — Seeking Forgiveness

And lastly, we will seek forgiveness through istighfar. When we do istighfar, we should try to think about our own past mistakes that none besides Allah is aware of. Such mistakes and sins that if anyone else besides Allah were to become aware of them, we would not be able to show our face in public. We would not be able to sit with the person sitting next to us right now in this gathering. People would have to run away from their own homes.

Yet Allah Azza wa Jalla has covered up our flaws, covered up our faults from one another. And now with utmost remorse, we ask Allah Azza wa Jalla for forgiveness and make a determination never to go back to those sins.

Muhammadur Rasulullah ﷺ.

The Du'a

O Allah, O Allah — and all his armies that are working against us, and our spouses and our children. Ya Allah, Ya Allah, purify our eyes from all the sins that have been committed by the eyes. Purify the ears of the sins that have been committed by the ears, the hands and the feet, the heart, the mind, the tongue, the private part, and every single limb of our body that has been involved in any type of major or minor sin.

Ya Allah, purify every inch of our body, every strand of our body. O Allah, O Allah, we ask Ya Allah — allow the nur of iman to enter every single limb and every single strand of hair of our body, Ya Allah.

O Allah, allow the love of Rasulullah ﷺ, the love of his sunnah, and the love of the lives of the sahaba, and the love of You, Ya Allah, and the love of the Qur'an, and the love of the life that You want us to lead — allow all of this to enter into our hearts, Ya Allah.

O Allah, O Allah, O Allah, we do not control our hearts — You control our hearts. O Allah, You control our hearts. O Allah, I ask Ya Allah — turn our hearts towards You. O Allah, turn our hearts towards Your jannah. Turn our hearts towards deen. Turn our hearts towards Your masajid.

O Allah, turn our hearts away from places of haram. Away from places of lahwal la'ib. O Allah, away from places that bring about Your wrath. O Allah, allow us to enjoy gatherings like this more than anything else. And allow us to be pulled towards gatherings like this more than anywhere else. O Allah, allow our sons and daughters of the ummah to be pulled towards gatherings like this. Allow the elders to be pulled towards gatherings like this.

Du'a for the Ummah

Ya Allah, where do we begin? O Allah, the ummah is going through so much suffering. And the greatest suffering beyond anything else is them leaving Islam. O Allah, them leaving the deen. O Allah, this is the ummah of Your Habib Mustafa ﷺ. O Allah, please close the doors of kufr and shirk. Close the doors of apostasy, atheism, agnosticism, Ya Allah. Close the doors of irtidad amali, irtidad qawli. O Allah, irtidad i'tiqadi. O Allah, close the doors of any and all sorts of blasphemy, Ya Allah, and any and all sorts of kufr and any and all sorts of nifaq.

O Allah, bring those who are leaving the deen back to the deen, Ya Allah. O Allah, all those who are suffering doubts, Ya Allah, bring them back. All those who have fallen into haram, pull them out of the haram. O Allah, allow them to see daylight. O Allah, shaytan pushes people into haram and makes them feel hopeless. O Allah, allow all of us to remain hopeful and optimistic, Ya Allah. O Allah, allow none of us to suffer despondency, Ya Allah. O Allah, please save us from despondency at our condition and the condition of the ummah.

Du'a for Our Brothers and Sisters Across the World

O Allah, we ask You to have mercy upon our brothers and sisters in Palestine. And have mercy upon our brothers and sisters in Sudan. And our brothers and sisters in Yemen and Syria. O Allah, our brothers and sisters in Kashmir and in India. And our brothers and sisters across all other portions of the globe where they are going through untold genocide and difficulty, Ya Allah.

O Allah, O Allah, allow the future of the ummah to become better. O Allah, allow the future of our country to become better. O Allah, allow the upcoming elections in this country and elections across the globe to be, Ya Allah, favorable for the ummah. O Allah, allow them to be favorable for the ummah.

O Allah, we are too weak to be tested. We are way too weak — we are not being tested right now and we're already having a difficult time practicing the deen. O Allah, we cannot be tested, Ya Allah. Please, Ya Allah, do not test us more than we can handle. O Allah, O Allah, grant us the ability to be grateful for the blessings we have. And allow us to remain patient for whatever difficulty we are going through.

Du'a for Marriage and Family

O Allah, all those who are of marriageable age, or who've been previously married and are looking to get married — make it easy for every single one of them to find their proper, righteous, God-fearing spouse. O Allah, all those thousands of girls and boys who are looking to get married, O Allah, allow them to find proper, righteous, God-fearing spouses through halal means, Ya Allah. Allow their spouses to become a means of protecting them from haram. O Allah, allow the method by which they find their spouses to be halal. And allow barakah to be there from the first day, Ya Allah. O Allah, all those who are looking for a match for their children, make it easy for them to find, Ya Allah.

O Allah, all those who are already married but their marriages are going through a troubled spot — O Allah, we ask Ya Allah to remove the influence of nafs and shaytan from those marriages. O Allah, put muhabba and love between husbands and wives. O Allah, between parents and children, between siblings. O Allah, the shaytan is working extra hard to break our nuclear families. O Allah, no one can save our families besides You. Ya Allah, please save our families. O Allah, please save our families. Please save our families, Ya Allah.

Du'a for Personal Needs

O Allah, all those who are requesting du'a for their own personal situations — You are well aware of their situations. O Allah, please fulfill their needs, Ya Allah. Remove their obstacles, remove their difficulties, Ya Allah.

Du'a for Following the Sunnah After This Conference

O Allah, allow us all — after this conference — to become, Ya Allah, those who study the seerah of Rasulullah ﷺ, who study and follow the sunnah of Rasulullah ﷺ. Allow us to become amongst those who do miswak regularly, Ya Allah. Ya Allah, who walk and enter the masjid with the right foot and leave it with the left foot. Simple, small sunnahs — allow us to start bringing them into our lives. Allow us to sleep with du'a and wake up with du'a. Allow us, Ya Allah, to become amongst those who pray salah with jama'ah in the masjid.

O Allah, all the amazing speeches and presentations that were given from Jumu'ah till now — O Allah, allow all the khair and good to not only allow us to put into practice, but allow the khair of it to spread across the globe.

Du'a for Revival of Islam

O Allah, we are a small little community, a small little masjid. O Allah, but our ambitions are high. O Allah, allow genuinely, Ya Allah, revival of Islam to begin from this masjid, Ya Allah. And allow it to spread across the entire globe. O Allah, just as the sun will rise from the west before the Day of Judgment, allow the sun to rise from here, Ya Allah, in the west. And allow it, Ya Allah, to glow across the entire globe.

وَمَا ذَٰلِكَ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ بِعَزِيزٍۢ

"This is not difficult for Allah." O Allah, make this happen, Ya Allah. Make this happen within our own lives and the lives of our children, Ya Allah. Allow the entire community to be a part of this movement, Ya Allah.

Allow us to present and preserve the traditional deen that has been left behind by our salaf. Allow us to be able to present this in the most appropriate manner for this day and age. And allow us all to become, Ya Allah, the flag bearers of the sunnah. Allow us to become, Ya Allah, the guardians of sunnah. Allow us to present Islam so beautifully that non-Muslims run towards the deen. And Muslims who are leaving Islam come back to Islam. And that our youth are excited to follow the deen.

O Allah, inspire all of our community members, volunteers and teachers with such amazing ideas, Ya Allah, that we have no knowledge of — but only You have knowledge of. Allow us to be inspired with ideas of how to practice this deen in the most beautiful manner, Ya Allah, in this day and age — that will remain, Ya Allah, true to its letter and spirit, and at the same time will become a means of opening the doors of hidayah for others, Ya Allah.

O Allah, inspire us. Allow us to genuinely have fiqh for the ummah. Allow every one of us to care for the ummah. Allow us to feel the pain of the ummah. Allow us to feel pain when deen is not practiced. Allow us to feel the pain of sunnah being abandoned. And allow us to be inspired with solutions, Ya Allah. Allow us all to be inspired with solutions.

Du'a for the Community, Volunteers, and Well-Wishers

O Allah, our community members, our volunteers, our staff and our students, our teachers, and all those who are related and connected to this institution — our patrons, our well-wishers, our donors, supporters across the globe. O Allah, we ask Ya Allah, if any of them are going through any financial difficulty, psychological difficulty, emotional difficulty, spiritual difficulty, or domestic issues — Ya Allah, through the barakah of this beautiful gathering, remove all of their difficulties. Remove all of their difficulties. Remove all of their difficulties.

Whoever is suffering from hasad, whoever is suffering from sihr, whoever is suffering from ayn, whoever is suffering from a repercussion of their own deeds — Ya Allah, remove those difficulties, Ya Allah. Remove their difficulties. Remove their difficulties, Ya Allah.

O Allah, accept this gathering, accept this program. From the beginning to the end — all the programs that have been held, Ya Allah, spread the blessings of this program all over the world. O Allah, all our companions, men and women who have served, Ya Allah, for many days, many weeks — Ya Allah, O Allah, grant them all the rewards of this. O Allah, in this great gathering — Ya Allah — the listeners online and here, whoever's life has been changed in any way, Ya Allah, Ya Allah, grant all the rewards to those who have served us.

O Allah, with the blessings of this gathering, Ya Allah, forgive us all our sins — Ya Allah, both big and small. O Allah, from today, Ya Allah, we have decided that we will bring our lives in accordance with the sunnah. O Allah, O Allah, grant us the ability to remain firm on this intention. O Allah, fill our homes with sunnah. O Allah, fill our homes with sunnah.

O Allah, bring sunnah into the lives of our children. O Allah, teach us how to carry forward the sunnah of the Prophet of Allah — with wisdom, in our families — and invite us to the sunnah of the Prophet of Allah. O Allah, teach us the method of wisdom. O Allah, make us knowledgeable. Make us practical. Make us grateful.

O Allah, do not test us. O Allah, we are failing without a test. O Allah, do not test us. O Allah, save us from difficulties. O Allah, save us from physical and spiritual illnesses. O Allah, in whichever part of the world Muslims are in distress, O Allah, remove their distress. O Allah, unite the Muslim nation. O Allah, create religious dignity in the Muslim nation.

Closing Dhikr
