Dua After Nikkah - Mufti Azeemuddin Ahmed

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful. All praise is due to Allah, Lord of the worlds, Most Gracious, Most Merciful. Who knows the Day of Judgment.

O Allah, send blessings and peace upon our master Muhammad and upon the family of our master Muhammad. As You have sent blessings upon Ibrahim and upon the family of Ibrahim. You are the Praiseworthy, the Glorious.

O Allah, all praise is due to You. All thanks is due to You. O Allah, we do not feel proud of You as You are proud of Yourself.

Glory be to Allah, and all praise is due to Him. He is the number of His creation. He is the contentment of His soul.

He is the presence of His Throne. He is the extension of His words. O Allah, all praise is due to You.

He is the pleasure of every eye and the breath of every soul. There is no god but He, the Most Forbearing, the Most Generous. Glory be to Allah, Lord of the Great Throne.

All praise is due to Allah, Lord of the worlds. O Allah, we ask You to answer our prayers, to forgive us our sins, to save us from every sin, to protect us from every sin. O Allah, do not leave us in this state.

We sin if You do not forgive us. We are in pain if You do not release us. We are sick if You do not heal us.

We are in debt if You do not pay us.

Oh most merciful Allah, bless this gathering, bless this union ya Allah. Oh Allah make this union a blessed union. Make this marriage and this nikah and this aqidah a very blessed nikah ya Allah.

Oh Allah, oh Allah, we have gathered here ya Allah. Brothers have waited for long ya Allah. And people have traveled from far ya Allah. And oh Allah, people have been patient in these years ya Allah.

Oh Allah, but you have indeed said that the one who is patient and leads a God-fearing life. The one who is patient and attains a life of taqwa. Indeed you do not waste the reward of those who do good.

Oh Allah, the way you have brought this happiness today upon us. We ask you to bring this day of happiness on the day of judgment for all of us as well.

Oh Allah, make this ya Allah union. A reason for happiness not only in this world. But a reason of happiness on the day of judgment. For not only the couple but all those who are present here as well today ya Allah.

Oh Allah, oh Allah, allow us ya Allah. Allow us to emulate the sunnah of the Prophet ﷺ in every step of our lives.

Oh Allah, these two have started ya Allah. A first step in a new life, in a new journey ya Allah. Trying their best to follow the teachings of the Prophet ﷺ. Ya Allah, allow them to remain steadfast on the sunnah of the Prophet ﷺ.

Oh Allah, oh Allah, indeed. Leading the life of sunnah today has become difficult. And it has made people into strangers.

Oh Allah, we ask you to give them the strength to be proud to be strangers ya Allah. Oh Allah, we ask you to give us the strength ya Allah. To remain flag bearers of Islam when it's becoming everyday more difficult to do so.

Oh Allah, make us from those group of people. And these couple, and the couple ya Allah. To become the revivers of Islam and the revivers of sunnah ya Allah.

Grant them understanding and muhabba with each other ya Allah. Grant them mawadda and rahma ya Allah.

Oh Allah, allow them ya Allah. To share a vision similar ya Allah. To that of the Prophet ﷺ.

Oh Allah, make this union. A means of beautiful, pious progeny coming to this world ya Allah.

Oh Allah, bless them with children that will become the coolness of their eyes. Oh Allah, that will become a means of raising the flag of Islam ya Allah. That become a means of continuing the legacy and heritage of the Prophet ﷺ.

Oh Allah, remove all obstacles and difficulties. Oh Allah, protect the couple and all others ya Allah. From every type of difficulty ya Allah. Whether it's coming from the avenue of deen or dunya ya Allah.

Oh Allah, bless this marriage and all the other married couples ya Allah.

Oh Allah, whatever difficulties we may be facing in our marriages ya Allah. Do not allow shaytan to enter into our marriages ya Allah.

Oh Allah, save us from the effects of shaytan in our marriage ya Allah.

Oh Allah, protect our homes from the interference of shaytan and the agents of shaytan. Oh Allah, protect our homes and our households from shaytan and from the agents of shaytan.

Allow the couple ya Allah to have your fear. And to have istihdar of your presence always ya Allah.

Allow them to fulfill each other's rights. Oh Allah, and allow them to go beyond the rights ya Allah. And do ihsan towards each other.

Allow them ya Allah to fulfill the rights of their parents. And their neighbors and their individuals who are around them ya Allah.

Oh Allah, allow them to fulfill your rights and the rights of the Prophet ﷺ.

Oh Allah, those of us who are not yet married ya Allah. Grant us the best of spouses ya Allah. Who will become a partner in life. That will become beneficial for them and for us ya Allah. That will become a means of us attaining jannah ya Allah.

Oh Allah, those who are looking for spouses ya Allah. Grant them beautiful, pious, righteous spouses ya Allah.

Oh Allah, the mothers and fathers who are here. Who are concerned for their children. Oh Allah, remove their concerns and their worries ya Allah.

Make their children a coolness of their eyes. Allow the parents to give a proper upbringing to their children ya Allah. Allow them to find a proper spouse for their children ya Allah.

Oh Allah, allow us to shift our focus. And allow us to, every single one of us. To become ya Allah, flag bearer of Islam ya Allah.

Oh Allah, rectify the condition of our youth. Rectify the condition of our elders, of our men and of our women ya Allah.

Oh Allah, bless the beautiful city of St. Louis. And the community members of this masjid and of all the masajids here. Oh Allah, reward them with the best of rewards ya Allah.

Oh Allah, protect them and take care of their needs ya Allah.

Oh Allah, make this masjid ya Allah a shining masjid ya Allah. And allow the angels to have ya Allah. Fakhr over the activities of this masjid ya Allah.

Oh Allah, protect this masjid and its activities ya Allah.

Oh Allah, bring nur in this masjid ya Allah. And to the attendees and to the supporters of this institute. And the school and the masjid here ya Allah.

Oh Allah, every one of us who is sitting here. Have many needs, many desires. And you know the secrets of the hearts. You know what is making them lose their sleep at night. You know what is making them cry ya Allah. Without anyone else seeing the tears. You know every single thing ya Allah that is bothering them.

Oh Allah, oh most merciful Allah. I ask you to remove that which is bothering them. Remove those difficulties and the hurdles that each one of them is facing ya Allah.

Oh Allah, make their lives in this world blissful ya Allah.

Oh Allah, grant all of us and the couple a life of Jannah within this world. For indeed you are the one who controls honor and disgrace. You are the one who controls happiness and sadness. I ask you ya Allah to fill the couple's life and all of our lives ya Allah. With happiness and bliss ya Allah.

Oh Allah, oh Allah, whatever is bothering us. Ya Allah, remove those things that bother us. Whether it's a financial thing, whether it's a family dispute ya Allah. Some other affair ya Allah that is bothering us ya Allah.

Oh Allah, we ask you to remove those difficulties. And allow us to concentrate on the main things ya Allah.

Oh Allah, we ask you to give us the tawfiq. To be grateful and thankful to you for all the blessings that you have showered upon us. That you have allowed us to witness this day. Allow us to be grateful ya Allah.

Oh Allah, we ask you to give us the tawfiq. To be grateful for all the blessings that you have showered upon us.

Oh Allah, oh Allah, instill in our hearts the true love of Allah. Your love and the love of Rasulullah ﷺ.

Oh Allah, staying away from haram has become increasingly difficult. Staying away from haram has become increasingly difficult. And haram has been thrown at us from all avenues. From our income, from our expenditure. From the food, from the things we see. From the things we hear, from the things that are around us.

We ask you ya Allah, may you protect us from haram. Oh Allah, we are too weak to be tested. Do not test us with haram. Oh Allah, for indeed we will fail. Oh Allah, do not test us with haram.

Oh Allah, save our youth from the entrapments of shaitan. At school and college and outside world. Oh Allah, save them from leaving the fold of Islam.

Oh Allah, oh Allah, save the flicker of iman that we have. Oh Allah, the winds of kufr are blowing very hard around us. And our iman is very weak.

The Prophet ﷺ has warned us of a time before the day of judgment. Which seems to have dawned upon us today. That a man will wake up as a believer and go to bed as a disbeliever. And will go to bed as a believer and wake up as a disbeliever.

And the Prophet ﷺ said, He will sell off his faith and his religion for a few dollars, ya Allah. For a little bit of the dunya. Ya Allah, protect us from selling our faith. Protect us from selling our deen.

Oh Allah, make us proud Muslims, ya Allah. Make our children proud Muslims, ya Allah. Make us confident in our deen, ya Allah.

Oh Allah, make us knowledgeable Muslims, ya Allah.

Oh Allah, allow us to portray the deen in the proper way to those who are around us. Oh Allah, make us a means of removing the darkness of evil that surrounds us. The darkness of ignorance that surrounds us.

Oh Allah, make us a means of becoming a reason for people seeing the beauty of this religion. For them seeing the beauty of our Prophet ﷺ.

Oh Allah, the ummah today is so confused, so confused. The ummah that accepted your message itself is so confused, ya Allah. That we're being hit in all directions. In every way, shape or form, ya Allah.

But we haven't realized that these masa'id have come from you. And the only solution to these problems is returning back to you. Ya Allah, I ask your forgiveness on behalf of the whole ummah. And of the sins of the whole ummah.

Oh Allah, please forgive the ummah of Rasulullah ﷺ. Oh Allah, have mercy upon them. Oh Allah, have mercy upon the Muslims wherever they may be.

Ya Allah, bring an end to the bloodshed and the oppression that the Muslim ummah is facing, ya Allah.

Oh Allah, have mercy on the children that are being orphaned. Oh Allah, have mercy on those women who are losing their honor. Ya Allah, have mercy on the useless, ya Allah. Ya Allah, wastage of human blood, ya Allah. That is taking place in our lands, ya Allah.

We ask you, ya Allah, that this is the ummah of Rasulullah ﷺ. Have mercy upon them. Oh Allah, allow us to improve the image of Islam. And show its true colors to the ummah of Dawah, ya Allah.

Oh Allah, protect our masajid. Protect our institutes. Protect our ulema. Protect our workers of deen. Protect our wealth, our health. Our homes, our spouses, our children. Ya Allah, protect our honor in this country. Ya Allah, ya Allah, oh Allah, oh Allah, oh Allah.

Indeed, we are ungrateful for the blessings that we enjoyed in this land. And we are seeing these blessings being taken away. Ya Allah, we are very weak, we can't be tested, ya Allah. Ya Allah, when the freedom was there, we were not able to practice deen. If these freedoms are taken away from us, ya Allah. Oh Allah, very few of us, I fear, will be able to stand those tests.

Oh Allah, please, ya Allah, have mercy on the Muslims of this land as well, ya Allah.

Oh Allah, allow us to have a strong grounding in this country, ya Allah. And allow us to become a catalyst for change, good change. And allow us to become a means of khayah for our neighbors, ya Allah. Allow them to see the beauty of this deen, ya Allah.

Oh Allah, oh Allah, whoever has asked us for du'a. Ya Allah, or is hoping that we'll pray for them. Ya Allah, or has done good to us, ya Allah. And that it is right upon us that we pray for them. I ask ya Allah to give them the best of both worlds.

Ya Allah, our parents, our grandparents, our teachers. And whoever became a means of giving us deen. Ya Allah, if they are alive, oh Allah, bless them with health and wealth. Bless them with the blessings of this world and akhira.

Oh Allah, allow them to lead long happy lives. Oh Allah, and allow us to serve them and earn our jannah by serving them.

And oh Allah, if our parents and grandparents and teachers have passed away. Oh Allah, fill their graves with nur. And oh Allah, make their graves a beautiful resting place. A garden from the gardens of jannah.

Oh Allah, allow us to do such good deeds. That will become a means of happiness for them in their graves. Ya Allah, allow us to be the reciters of the kalima لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ مُحَمَّدٌ رَسُولُ اللهِ as we leave this world.

Allow the day that we leave this world. To be the day of our highest iman. Ya Allah, allow it to be the day that we are closest to you, ya Allah.

Oh Allah, when we are lowered into the grave. Let the grave be looking forward to receiving us, ya Allah. Oh Allah, oh Allah, bring the bedding from jannah, ya Allah. And open up a curtain for us in the grave, ya Allah, from jannah.

And expand the grave for us till the eye can see, ya Allah. Make the questioning of the grave easy, ya Allah. Save us from the daqtatul qabr, ya Allah. Save us from the pressing of the grave against our ribs, ya Allah. Save us from the punishment of the grave, ya Allah.

Oh Allah, make the Qur'an our partner in the grave, ya Allah. Make our good deeds a partner with us, ya Allah. Allow us to lead such a lives that our sadaqah jariah. And our pious righteous children will be continuously. Sending good deeds to us while we are in our graves, ya Allah.

On the day of judgment, resurrect us. Under the banner of the Prophet, salallahu alayhi wa sallam, ya Allah. Oh Allah, resurrect us with the Prophet, salallahu alayhi wa sallam. On the day of judgment, ya Allah.

Save us from questioning and reckoning on that day, ya Allah. Grant us a chance to, ya Allah, drink from the blessed hands. Of the Prophet, salallahu alayhi wa sallam, from the hawd al-kawthar, ya Allah.

Oh Allah, grant us a book of deeds in our right hand. Allow us to pass the bridge over jahannam at the speed of lightning. Save us from slipping and falling into the hellfire, ya Allah. Save us from being clamped by the kalabid that surround this bridge, ya Allah.

Oh Allah, allow us to enter jannat al-firdaws, the highest of paradises, ya Allah.

Oh Allah, these brothers and sisters. Who have no reason to be here together. And have been waiting for so long. And no reason to be here, ya Allah. Other than loving us for your sake. And indeed your Prophet has said. That the most beautiful deed in the eyes of Allah. Is to love someone for the sake of Allah.

And your Prophet said that seven categories of people. Will be blessed with a VIP status on the day of judgment. That they will be given lofty places under your throne. On the day of judgment.

And one of them he said

Oh Allah, we know and we are witness to the fact. That these brothers of this community. Have loved Mufti bin Hajj, ya Allah, solely for your sake. And had an opportunity to be together for years, ya Allah. Memorable years for our family and for them.

And ya Allah, of course it's very difficult to leave, ya Allah. Very difficult to depart, ya Allah. But we know that this love was not based on anything. Other than for your sake.

And we present this deed in your court today. That ya Allah, make this a means of our forgiveness. And make this means of all these people present here today. To be our neighbors. And to be together under your throne on the day of judgment. And to be under your throne in Jannatul Firdaus. With the Prophet salallahu alayhi wasalam.

Ya Allah, we ask you to fulfill all their needs. And keep us together in this world and the hereafter.

A Piece of Glad Tiding

I remember a hadith of the Prophet salallahu alayhi wasalam. That Uthman radiallahu anhu. When he got married in Mecca. The Prophet salallahu alayhi wasalam said

Whosoever gets married into community he becomes from amongst them. Uthman, you're married into this community. You belong to them.

So mashallah, Mufti bin Hajj is actually yours. He's married in St. Louis. And it is your dua that is you know, mashallah brought his takbir back to here.

So we ask you to continually remember the family. And the spouses and all of us inshallah in your dua. And جَزَاكُمُ اللهُ خَيْرًا.
