Creating The Muslim-Friendly Algorithm?

Is there a Muslim-owned social media platform anywhere in the world? What are you guys doing? Somebody's got to build it.

Do you own the algorithm or does the algorithm own you? Think about it. Every moment you spend on a screen, somebody somewhere is making paid ads money on your eyeballs.

And how long you spend on the screen? When you look at your suggestions on YouTube and TikTok, are they always good suggestions? Has it not happened to you guys? Sometimes you're scrolling, watching a Qur'an video and underneath it there's an ad for some prohibited service. Why? Whoever owns the ad and the algorithm owns your attention span.

So if you are to analyze why the ummah is weak, you look at technology, you look at forms of mass media and communication, you look at specialist knowledge — where are we on this? We just want to keep producing engineers and doctors and lawyers.

There's other forms of influence that are really crucial to the ummah.
