This Is Who The Prophet ﷺ Called Truly Poor
The Prophet ﷺ says to the companions:
"Do you know who is a bankrupt person?"
They said:
(Sahih Muslim, Hadith 2581)
"The person with no gold and silver." He ﷺ said, no. It is a person who did many good deeds in this earth, but then on the Day of Judgment, their good deeds become nothing.
Because they cursed that person, and backbited this person, treated that person horribly, were impatient with this, lost their temper — so Allah reduced their deeds until there was nothing.
You don't want, and I don't want to be in that situation. So what does that require?
What This Requires of Us
Number one, it requires to sit down, have an honest conversation with yourself about who am I, and what are my good and bad qualities.
