When We (Muslims) Want To Enjoy Ourselves

Muslims, when we want recreation, we want to enjoy ourselves, we go for food. We tell ourselves, there's not many other halal things to do, so we might as well just go and eat. And you sit there, you eat, you banter with your mates, two hours, three hours, four hours.

You come home and you feel emptiness in your heart. You don't feel fulfilled. Something was missing from the gathering.

But I'm telling you something, try it once. 45 minutes, half an hour of a gathering where you are discussing the Qur'an will fill you up so much, for weeks you'll go by without needing any socializing. Because it's wholesome — you're socializing around the Qur'an.

So revive this concept of reflecting on the Qur'an together — as groups, as brothers, as sisters.
