The Necessity of Tawbah
Without tawbah we are destroyed, because the mountain of our sins will slowly change us and devolve us until the Shaytan has devoured us. We cannot survive without tawbah. Tawbah to us is like water to fish — it's like oxygen, you can't do without it.
Sayyid al-Istighfar — The Master Du'a of Seeking Forgiveness
Every morning and evening we need to say this du'a — Sayyid al-Istighfar. Memorize it, download it, screenshot it, whatever you want — so that if Allah takes your life before the evening, you are guaranteed an entrance to paradise. And if Allah takes your life at night, in the morning you are guaranteed an entrance to paradise.

"O Allah, You are my Lord. There is no god but You. You created me and I am Your servant, and I am upon Your covenant and Your promise as best I can. I seek refuge in You from the evil of what I have done. I acknowledge Your blessing upon me, and I acknowledge my sin, so forgive me, for indeed none forgives sins except You."
The Prophet said: whoever says Sayyid al-Istighfar with firm faith in it during the day, and dies before the evening, he will be among the people of paradise. And whoever says it at night with firm faith in it, and dies before the morning, he will be among the people of paradise.
May Allah make us from the people of paradise. May Allah make us from the people of tawbah.
