Opening Dhikr & Du'a

لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ — repeated in abundance — followed by:

Alhamdulillah, we are sitting in the masjid on the night of Jumu'ah, on the 25th night of Ramadan, in the state of i'tikaf, after having fasted all day and performing 20 raka'at taraweeh and witr and salatul isha with jama'at — so many blessings. So now most definitely inshallah, we can expect that Allah is showing his love and mercy for all of us.

We are in his house — how can you, after fasting all day and after doing all of that, inshallah we are attracting Allah's mercy. We need to now focus and imagine Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala is looking at our hearts with a glance of rahmah. And this rahmah of Allah, the tajalli of the rahmah of Allah is pushing towards our heart and all the evil effects of our nafs, our shaitan, our own sins — all that is being pushed out as Allah's rahmah burns away those things and brings a special type of sukoon to our heart.

Now let us inshallah focus on the heart, do tasawwur that our heart is saying Allah, Allah, Allah, Allah — silently, without moving our lips, without moving our tongue. Be as silent as possible and focus on your heart saying Allah, Allah, Allah, Allah.

Du'a of the Night

O Allah, let it be a hidden victory, let it be a hidden victory. O Allah, whoever is worried about their spouses, their children, or themselves — ya Allah — O Allah, we ask you, grant shifa to all of those who are sick, all those who are in hospitals, all those who are in nursing homes. Ya Allah, grant them all shifa. They are not here in Ramadan with us today — Allah grant them the full reward as though they were here, ya Allah. All those brothers and sisters who are suffering from cancer and other types of diseases, young boys and young men and women — O Allah, grant them all shifa, grant them all shifa.

O Allah, protect all of us from the evil effects of our own sins, ya Allah.

Practical Guidance — Fighting the Battles of This Era

One announcement I would like to also make here — very important. This topic that I've spoken about, since I deal with this every single day, honestly, multiple hours of my day — one thing is that I don't want you to walk away feeling overwhelmed.

I want you to understand that the solution, of course, is in deen. The solution is, of course, in du'a. But I also want to tell you from an asbab perspective.

You might say, "Bhai, I learned, I heard what you said. It hurts me. I feel bad. Honestly, I tried everything. What am I supposed to do?" So one of the things — because we are in a very different era, as I told you — this is a dajjali era. It is a pre-dajjali era. There's no doubt about it. The stuff that was happening before is not happening now. What's happening now never happened before.

That is why you need to utilize amal and adhkar a lot. In our homes, make a habit of ruqya, of manzil. Every single day, every single member of the household should read manzil — 30 verses of the Quran. I'm sure all of you already have it at home. But make a habit of reading manzil.

Make a habit like we just did dhikr. This was so simple — just do this at home. You'll see the difference that will come when we take the name of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala in our home. The adhan says shaytan flees. We're not doing dhikr at home. Through the dhikr, the shaytan will come out of our houses.

Practical Steps to Implement at Home

Reading manzil every day. Making sure everyone is in the state of wudu as much as possible. Doing dhikr like we just did. And then the way we did du'a — like this. You do dhikr for five minutes. One day let the son do the du'a. One day let the daughter do the du'a. First the dad can let the mom start it off. And let the kids do it afterwards.

And if there is still a problem, persist. You all know me, alhamdulillah — you can reach out to me for help. And inshallah tabarak wa ta'ala, we will try to help you whenever we can.

Tonight's Talk on Sihr, Hasad, and Evil Eye

Tonight I have a talk at 1 o'clock — exactly in half an hour. Every single night I do a talk in the last ten nights, from 1 a.m. to around 2:30. Tonight's talk is on sihr, hasad, black magic, and the evil eye. These are things I am going to be addressing. It will be recorded — you don't have to listen now, you can listen online afterwards. But these are things I have been seeing for many years, and that's why we're trying to address it in different ways.

So there is hope. If I did not have all that Allah has blessed me with to be able to help people, I myself would be the most depressed person — because of the type of things I have to come across. But I'm not, alhamdulillah. I'm upbeat. I'm optimistic. Because of the success stories I have myself witnessed and continue to witness on a regular basis. But you have to use the means.

And amongst those means are adhkar, a'mal, ruqya shar'iyyah. Those are the things that people have neglected. You're fighting a battle with Shaytan. I promise to God — wallahi al-azim — you're fighting a battle with Shaytan and his forces. You sit there and you want to use your charm? It's not going to work. You have to use a'mal for it.

Along with all the stuff we spoke about — akhlaq — I wanted to end it on a positive note. There are solutions to all these things. Ask. Use the basic things I have shared with you. And after Ramadan, feel free to reach out to me. And if Allah inspires me to help you, I would love to help you in any way.

Closing Words

Make du'a for me as well, honestly — that Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala gives me the wisdom I need and the strength I need to be able to help as many people as possible.

Jazakumullah khayran for your patience. And if I said anything to hurt anyone's feelings, please forgive me. I'm just being honest — like a doctor that has to come and say, "This is what's going on." I'm just telling you what's happening. I hope I didn't hurt anyone's feelings, and I hope there was some benefit in it. If I did say something which I shouldn't have, I ask Allah Azza wa Jal for forgiveness for that, and forgiveness from all of you for that as well.

Jazakumullah khayran for your patience. There are also some snacks and refreshments outside — please help yourself.
