We praise Him, we ask for His help, we ask for His forgiveness, and we seek refuge in Allah from the evil of our souls and from the evil of our deeds. Whom Allah guides, none can misguide him, and whom He misguides, none can guide him.

And we bear witness that there is no god but Allah, alone, with no partner. And I bear witness that Muhammad is His servant and Messenger. I seek refuge in Allah from the accursed Satan.

And whatever the Messenger has given you, take it, and whatever he has forbidden you, abstain from it. And fear Allah. Indeed, Allah is severe in punishment.

And the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "And whosoever turns away from My way (Sunnah), he is not from Me."

(Sahih al-Bukhari, Hadith 5063)

The Importance of Following the Sunnah

I seek refuge in Allah from the accursed Satan. Allah, the Lord of Honor and Might, has established guidance for humanity through His Messenger. Today's khutbah focuses on the critical importance of following the سنة (Sunnah) of our beloved Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him.

We must remember that following the Prophet's way is not optional - it is an essential part of our faith. Those who turn away from his guidance have distanced themselves from the true path of Islam.

Let us commit ourselves to learning and implementing the Sunnah in our daily lives, for in doing so, we draw closer to Allah and follow the perfect example set by His final Messenger.
