A Meaningful Ramadan — Ramadan Immersion 2023

If we're sitting here thinking, what can I do to make this Ramadan special? I pray taraweeh, I fast, but I want a spark, I want something different that can allow my Ramadan to be more meaningful to me, and something that can give me a sense of consistency as well. Where better to start with than revelation itself, because the month of Ramadan was the month of the Qur'an, the month in which the Prophet engaged with the Qur'an more so than any other month.

Therefore we structured this program known as the Ramadan Immersion Program, where every single day we will have these classes taught by different scholars.

Wisdoms of Trials and Tribulations

Shaykh Yasir Fahmi will teach the wisdoms of trials and tribulations, keeping in mind all of that which so many of us are going through, and the questions that we ask — why is this happening? Why are these difficulties taking place? And learn this in Ramadan, and allow our Ramadan to be a form of comfort for us in understanding that whatever is happening around us is through the wisdom of Allah.

Tafsir Classes

Or we're thinking, I want to understand the Qur'an. We have three beautiful classes that will teach the tafsir of three surahs from the beginning to the end:

• The tafsir of Surah Al-Mulk, taught by Mufti Abdul Rahman.
• The tafsir of Surah Al-Hujurat, taught by Shaykh Hamza Imtiaz.
• The tafsir of Surah Qaf, taught by Shaykh Dawood.

The Virtues of the Qur'an — Sahih Al-Bukhari

Or maybe we're sitting there thinking, what is the virtue of the Qur'an? Where better to learn than from the most beautiful compilation of hadith — Sahih Al-Bukhari — taught by Shaykh Abdullah Waheed.

The Realities of the Afterlife

And then understanding that this life will come to an end, just like how Ramadan will come to an end — what will happen after we leave? There will be a class about the realities of the afterlife and the stages of the afterlife. I don't want to speak about my class for too long, because إن شاء الله I want to leave something for the class as well.

Why Join the Ramadan Immersion Program?

But the point of all of this is — these are classes. They're not overwhelming, but at the same time, they're not just entertainment. It's starting a class and then finishing it. There'll be a beginning and an ending, where you can feel like you have accomplished something by the end of it. And it will give us a preview of what it looks like to be a part of an online seminary. I encourage all of you to look into it.

Make this a part of your Ramadan. Share it with others — people that are thinking about where to learn knowledge in the month of Ramadan, because most seminaries are closed and it's difficult to go to the masjid for a few hours every day, to be a part of every halaqah.
