Summary
The Rush for Victory
- We are a generation in a rush, seeking instant gratification.
- Allah's victory (Nusra) does not come overnight.
- Consider Prophet Nuh (AS) who waited 950 years.
Spoiled by Speed
- Our culture is driven by fast food, drive-thrus, and same-day delivery.
- This speed often comes at the cost of others being oppressed (mazloom).
- We've been spoiled by speed, but Allah's help works differently.
Patience in the Face of Pain
- The Prophet (PBUH) advised Khabbab not to be in a rush despite his suffering.
- Even in pain, patience is required for Allah's plan to unfold.
- A future promise: Allah will convert a billion people to Islam.
The Certainty of Allah's Matter
- The Prophet (PBUH) swore by Allah that His matter would be completed.
- This emphasizes the absolute certainty of divine victory and establishment.
- It's a reminder that Allah's plan will prevail, regardless of immediate challenges.
A Future of Security and Patience
- A rider will travel safely from San'a to Hadramawt, fearing only Allah and the wolf for his sheep.
- This paints a picture of widespread peace and security under Islam.
- The Hadith concludes with a direct admonition: 'But you are hasty.'
You guys are in a rush. You guys are in a hurry. Allah's victory does not come overnight.
How long did Nuh عليه السلام have to wait? 950 years. We are an impatient people. We are a generation of KFC and fast food.
We are a generation of drive-thru and same-day delivery, same-day delivery. Do you understand how many people have to be mazloom and oppressed for you to get your item on the same day? We are a people who have been spoiled by speed. But Nusra — Allah's help and support — it doesn't work like that.
Don't Be in a Rush
Don't be in a rush. This is what the Prophet says to Khabbab. Yes, you have no flesh on your back. Yes, you are in pain. But there will come a time when Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala will convert one billion people on this earth into Muslims. You have to wait. You have to be patient.
"By Allah, this matter will certainly be completed, until a rider travels from San'a to Hadramawt fearing none but Allah and the wolf for his sheep. But you are hasty."
(Sahih al-Bukhari, Hadith 3612)
