Peace and blessings be upon our master Muhammad, and upon his family and companions, and peace be upon them all.

BarakAllahu feekum wa jazakumullah khair. InshaAllah a quick reminder that Eid Salah begins with the two rak'ahs. With the two rak'ahs we do seven takbeerat in the first rak'ah. Seven. And this is the sunnah of Rasul sallallahu alayhi wa sallam. Then we recite the Qur'an, and we go into the next rak'ah. When we get up from the next rak'ah, we will do five takbeerat. Five. And then we recite the Qur'an, we finish. And then after the salah, there is the short khutba. Everyone must listen. A short brief reminder. Very very quick, very short. And then bismillah, Eid Mubarak. Ready inshaAllah? Please, everyone come into the main salah. Fill it in. If you see any gaps in front of you, please fill it in. JazakAllah khair.

Du'a and Praise on This Blessed Day

I ask Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala on this blessed day of Eid and blessed day of يوم الجمعة to free all our necks from the hell fire Ya Rabbil Alameen. I ask Allah to accept the hajj from all the hajjaj across the world Ya Rabbil Alameen and the du'as from all those who make du'a Ya Rabbil Alameen. Ameen Ya Rabbil Alameen.

الله أكبر! And this was the sunnah of Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wasallam - the Takbeerat on the day of Eid, praising Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala, saying that Allah is the greatest, that all praise belongs to You Ya Allah.

Ya Allah You are above everything Ya Rabb. Ya Rabb You are more powerful than anyone and everyone. You are stronger than any army. You are greater than any president. You are greater than any dictator Ya Allah. With all the armies, with all the governments, with all the countries, with all the dictators, with all the politicians, You are above all of them. With all the might, all the power, it all belongs to Ya Rabbil Alameen.

All praise to be to Allah, the one who granted you and I Iman Billah, the one who granted you and me to be from Ummat Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wasallam, who gave us the blessed day of Yawmul Arafa, the best day in this whole year.

Wallahi Ya Rabb You are Arham Al-Rahimeen. Ya Rabb You are Al-Wadood Al-Kareem. Ya Rabb Anta Al-Afoo Ya Rabbil Alameen. Anta Al-Rahman Al-Raheem Ya Allah. You are the most merciful, the most forgiving, the most loving, the most gentle, the Raoof Ya Allah.

I know for a fact You answered everyone's du'a yesterday Ya Allah. Everyone here and everyone in Hajj and everyone across the world from Ummat Muhammad - we all beg You to forgive us Ya Allah. And I know You accepted everyone's du'a and You forgave us InshaAllah Ya Allah.

I know those of us who might be sick, who might have family that are suffering Ya Allah, we ask You to alleviate their affairs. I know that soon, soon, Nasru Allahi Kareem, Nasru Allahi Kareem. This is Allah Tabarakahu Wa Ta'ala. And this is the day that we praise Him Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala.

Remembering Ibrahim Alayhi Salam

Ikhwani Ikhwati Fillah, hadhil yawmul mubarak, yawmul Eid - this blessed day of Eid is when we remember Khalilullah wa Khalilur Rahman, our father, the father of Tawheed, the father of monotheism: Ibrahim alayhi salam. One of the best men to ever walk this earth.

The only person who alongside Muhammad Ibn Abdullah sallallahu alayhi wa alayhi wasallam - in every single salah, what do we say? We send peace and blessings upon him as well. The man who built the Kaaba with his hands and his son in a desert where there was no one there. And he said, "Ya Allah, what am I doing?" He said, "Don't worry, I will bring to them. Just call the Adhan." And look as we speak, millions of people are there right now, all following his Sunnah, all InshaAllah on his Meezan.

The Sacrifices of Ibrahim Alayhi Salam

Ikhwani Ikhwati Fillah, this Eid we go and reflect over the sacrifice of Ibrahim alayhi salam - or should I say the sacrifices of Ibrahim alayhi salam.

Look at him from a young boy, how strong he was in his Iman Billah. From a young child being born in a land of Kufr and Shirk, of polytheism, of worshipping idols. So much so that it made no sense to him because the Fitrah was strong of course. Even his own father was associated with it - his own father was the one creating the idols. And he told them, "What is this nonsense?" Subhanallah.

Being tested at such a young age, and look how he fought against it. How he with his own hands got up and he destroyed the idols. How he feared no one when they got him ready to throw him in the fire. How even on the way when they threw him into the fire, Jibreel himself alayhi salam came to Ibrahim: "Do you need anything?" What did he say? "From you no - only from Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala." Iman, Tawheed.

Tawheed is the most important thing, Ikhwani Ikhwati Fillah. Wallahi it all goes back to our Tawheed Billah, our belief in Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala, our sacrifice for Him Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala. And that's how Allah protected him from the fire.

And you go on throughout his story, throughout his life Subhanallah alayhi salam. Tested with Nimrud, and we know the famous back and forth in the Quran: "Prove that your lord is someone who can bring benefit, is someone who can bring harm. I can give life, I can take death." And we saw how it went.

We saw Ibrahim when he went to Firaun and Firaun wanted to take his wife away. Subhanallah. Sacrifice after sacrifice, test after test. But did he ever waver alayhi salam? Did he ever pause and shake and say, "You know what, maybe I'll give in now Ya Allah, forgive me. You know maybe I won't... I will stop preaching Ya Allah." Did he? La wallah. He was always from Iman Billah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala. He always knew that Allah is with me no matter what.

The Ultimate Test: The Sacrifice of Ismail

So much so that he did not have kids for a long time, until finally at an older age with Hajar, they finally were blessed with a baby boy. And look how he was tested - the child that he's been waiting to have, the progeny. And many fathers know what this feeling was like. And I ask Allah for those who are struggling to have children - may Allah make it easy and grant them righteous offspring Ya Rabbil Alameen. And if not, may Allah reward them for their sabr and grant them better in Jannatul Naeem. Ameen Ya Rabbil Alameen.

When he finally got his son, what did Allah tell him to do? Test after test after test. "Leave your wife, leave your son - baby in the desert. Say nothing and go." And what did he do? "Ya Allah, my family, Ya Allah this is tough..." Didn't say anything.

And look at the wife - Mu'mina, Musliha, a wife of Iman, a wife of Tawheed, a wife of Taqwa. All she said was: آللَّهُ أَمَرَكَ بِهَذَا - "Did Allah command you to do so?" And he simply affirmed. "Allah will take care of us." And we know now we have the Zamzam. We know when we go to Umrah or Hajj, we follow her Sunnah radiAllahu anha. Subhanallah.

And test after test. After his child has finally grown, he's seeing this son, his own blood and flesh, grow in front of his eyes - a young man now growing, his offspring, he's gonna carry his name. And Allah gives him a dream and tells him: "Sacrifice your son."

And Ibrahim - this is a difficult test - he even went to his son. He said, "I had a dream that I sacrificed you for the sake of Allah, I slaughtered you. What do you think? What do you see?"

And look at the son, the son of Iman, of Tawheed, of Taqwa: "Do whatever Allah is commanding you, my father, and I am from the patient ones." الله أكبر!

This is the family of Tawheed. This is the true believers. From the father to the mother to the son to the daughter - it takes the whole family unit, Ikhwan Ikhwat Fillah. You must sacrifice Fi Sabilillah.

And what happened? When Ibrahim laid him down and he was about to put the blade... and then what happened?

The Sacrifice of Ibrahim and Our Ummah Today

Allah prevented it and gave him the ram. And Allah told him: "Ibrahim, you have committed the best of sacrifices." And know you will be honored. And Allah truly honored him when we follow his sunnah, عليه الصلاة والسلام. Allah truly honored him when He called him خليل الله and خليل الرحمن - the friend of Allah. Allah truly honored him in this day, in these days of Dhul Hijjah. And that is why we follow his sunnah.

So I ask you my brothers, and I ask you my sisters: What have we sacrificed for Allah سبحانه وتعالى?

The Trials of Our Ummah

Let's pause and look at our ummah. Ahlul Sudan - and most people aren't talking about it. Over 50 million people affected. Either refugees, some killed, some imprisoned, women raped. سبحان الله, نسأل الله عليه وسلم. They are being tested, and they are sacrificing for the sake of Allah.

Ahlul Gaza - I don't need to say anything. Self-explanatory. They are starving as we speak. But الحمد لله, they are sacrificing for Allah سبحانه وتعالى.

Ahlul Kashmir, Ahlul Hind - prosecuted by you know who. May Allah deal with them and protect all our Muslim brothers across the world.

Ahlul Sin - our Uyghur brothers and sisters. How many people are still talking about them? The concentration camps are still open. What's happening to your brother and my brother, your sister and my sister, your mother and my mother, your father and my father? It's still happening. May Allah free them, يا رب العالمين. But they are sacrificing for Allah, وأجرهم على الله سبحانه وتعالى. They are carrying ummah Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم.

Burma - the list goes on. Ethiopia. You look all across, the ummah is being trialed in different ways. Everyone is sacrificing their own way. And سبحان الله, even now, slowly but surely, very gently for us, Islamophobia is on the rise. The government is launching at us. The whole federal government is after us. الله أكبر، الله أكبر - Allah is greater!

What Are We Sacrificing?

And even then, what else are we giving for Allah سبحانه وتعالى? What else are we sacrificing في سبيل الله so that we can be like Ibrahim - gone but never forgotten, gone but remembered, gone but honored by Allah سبحانه وتعالى? Gone, but inshallah we'll be one of the first few to enter the highest levels of Jannah.

May Allah reunite us with Ibrahim. May Allah allow us to sacrifice for the sake of Allah سبحانه وتعالى. May Allah allow us to use our organs, our limbs, our bodies في سبيل الله سبحانه وتعالى.

May Allah allow us to protect our eyes from looking at haram, our ears from listening to haram, our mouths from speaking haram, our hands from dealing with haram, and our feet from walking to haram. آمين يا رب العالمين.

Hope and Celebration

On the sunnah of the Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم, my brothers and sisters in Allah, Allah سبحانه وتعالى will take care of all of us. ألا إن نصر الله قريب - Indeed, the victory of Allah is near.

I know it's a bittersweet feeling to have this blessed day of Eid, but this is سنة الله. We will still celebrate, we will still enjoy, and we will still make dua for all our ummah.

The only question that you must ask yourselves is: Why everyone else is sacrificing for Allah, what am I sacrificing in my life? What am I doing with my life? Ask ourselves that. And know that whatever you sacrifice, wallahi, Allah will give you better. Allah will give you better.

A Day of Joy and Family

And guys, this is the blessed day of Eid. To finish and summarize, because time is of the essence and I want everyone to have a good day - this is a joyous day. This is a day of celebration. We only have two of these days in the whole year. Let this be the best day for your family.

For my brothers, the husbands: Show affection to your wives. Be gentle. Say sweet words. Learn how to say "I love you." Give hugs, give affection - not just to your wife, to your kids, to your family. Spread the love, inshallah.

For my sisters: Be gentle. Show affection to the husband, inshallah. Be merciful between each other.

For the brothers and sisters, the siblings: Laugh and play with each other. Forgive one another. This is the best day of the year, the most happiest day of the year. Let us enjoy it.

And also for all my young brothers and sisters, the young kids: If your fathers are here, they owe you money, inshallah! They owe you also a nice lunch or dinner, wherever you guys wanna go. Make sure you tell your father whatever you want. I prescribe it, okay? They can complain later. Wherever you guys want, tell your dad - inshallah they'll get it. This is an order! بارك الله فيكم.

Forgiveness and Connection

And please, have a good day. Forgive those who have wronged you. This life is too short. Wallahi, this life is too short. It's not worth it. Forgive the uncles, the aunts, the cousins, the brothers, the sisters, the spouse - anything. Forgive. Forgive this day.

Pick up the phone and give a call to everyone. Start with your most close ones - your parents, your siblings, and then your uncles and aunts. And then inshallah, if your parents are not here, may Allah have mercy on all the parents that have passed, يا رب العالمين. It's صلة الأرحام to actually reach out to those they were close with. So they had good friends or people who they loved - reach out to them on their behalf. Reach out to them on their behalf. Honor your parents, honor the family. Establish the ties of kinship. Forgive and forget on this day. Please, I beg you.

And also know that amongst us right now, many people are new. Many people might not have family here. So once we finish with this khutbah, every single one, brother or sister - it doesn't matter if you know the person next to you. If you know the same language, give a salam, give a hug with the love في سبيل الله. With the love of the ayah that Allah سبحانه وتعالى said:

The believers are brothers and sisters. فأصلحوا بين أخويكم - Fix these relationships. Establish the brotherhood, the sisterhood, لعلكم ترحمون - so that Allah can have رحمة on us. Allah can have mercy on us.

So I beg you, before you leave, anyone you see and make eye contact with - give them a hug, give them a salam, give them a smile. The smile on the face of your brother or sister is sadaqah. This is a happy day. This is a joyous day.

Final Dua

May Allah bless everyone here. May Allah grant us all happiness in this dunya and the akhirah. May Allah reunite us all with Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم. May Allah protect us from all the evil in this world. Protect us from the shayateen, protect us from the plotters and the planners. Protect our masajid from the governments. Protect us from any evil, any of the evil doers of the ummah.

Ya Allah, remove any of the munafiqeen from our ummah. Ya Allah, alleviate all the pains and the afflictions of the ummah across the world. And Ya Rabb, Ya Rabb, as we are happy now, make us happier as we meet Rasulullah صلى الله عليه وسلم, يا رب العالمين.
